Linux[edit]
Hi. I accepted your edit, because I agree that the version I had reverted to was wrong and kernel.org appears to be better than any other obvious contender. Thanks!
But I have a question. Given that your edit only *adds* a website= line, where did the old value come from? I am editing on a phone, which is not up to the search; maybe you can do better? Nick Levine (talk) 07:27, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello,
- It appears that the old value was from Wikidata[1].
- So I suppose there is a bug when Wikipedia automatically sources the 'official website' from Wikidata into the infobox, if there are multiple values.
- In addition, it seems that it was decided to remove the 'official website' altogether in this edit[2]. Though it appears that even then[3] Wikipedia automatically sourced it from Wikidata as well.
