MMA articles

Hi there. First of all, good work on all the MMA-related articles you have worked on. However, a couple of your edits caught my eye. First of all, the Manual of Style states that only the first letter of the first word in a section header should be capitalized, not all of them. This includes the word "links" in "External links". You incorrectly capitalized "links" in this edit. Another thing that I noticed you were doing was removing the "See also" sections from numerous MMA bio articles, such as in this edit, without any discussion or explanation in the edit summary. How did you determine this should be done? I'm not necessarily saying you were wrong, but you should have at least explained your reasoning in the edit summary, and preferably started up a discussion on if they are needed or not on the MMA WikiProject talk page. If an anonymous IP or new user had made that same edit, I would have reverted it as vandalism since there was no explanation. Thanks, VegaDark (talk) 04:27, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

"Manvel vs. Manuel" Gamburyan

Hi Mel, I see you changed the spellings back to Manuel. As far as I can tell it's Manvel; it's how he's listed on Sherdog, and even the announcers at TUF5 finale were using this pronounciation/spelling -- despite the fact that some websites have Manuel. I'm going to converge the article on Manvel; if you have strong evidence that it's spelled Manuel, please put it on the talk page and we can change it over. -- Metahacker 23:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

WCW Magazines

hey. i have an old collection of WCW magazines from about 1997-2000; i am missing a few editions but ive got the majority from that period of time. pity you threw yours out; they have some pretty reliable information. some websites upload the articles from the mags for people to view... i know websites that are dedicated to a particular person have uploaded wcw magazine articles about that person. i say you just have a surf around the net and see what you can find. Xchickenx 03:57, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

is there any particular article or information that you are looking for? Xchickenx 03:59, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

i know rey has an official website, so that would most likely have transcripts from interviews that he had from wcw mag, photos, profile etc. as for vampiro and chavo im not sure if they have official websites but their would be fan based sites on them that would include information from wcw mag on them. if there is particular information that u want to know about them then im sure its on the net somewhere. Xchickenx 06:25, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

look ill have a look in the mags but theres a hell of a lot of mags to read through to find small information like that. if i maybe had a year in which you think the info might have been printed then it would narrow down the search a bit. but ill see what i can do. Xchickenx 11:21, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

chavo appears to be a really private man, trying to keep his family out of the public eye, so i kinda doubt if he would talk about his son in wcw mag. ive read on his wiki article that the only source found regarding him having 2 sons is from a byte this segment so its pretty obvious that he wants to keep his private life private if thats the only source there is. regardless, ill be a good samaritan and look into for you. Torrie Wilson

Ok, on Torrie's myspace! It says "Houston, Texas", ok.

Now her store will be open in The Woodlands, Texas. (Is a suburb in Houston). Is the same thing!.

Oh and to proof that she is dating Nick Mitchell go to her clothing's line official website. Now since they are dating, Nick Mitchell has on his myspace "Spring, Texas" (Another suburb in Houston, which is right next to The Woodlands). Have you been NOT on the internet lately? So since they are both dating and since Nick resides in Spring, Texas, Torrie lives with him to!

I am not pissed off, lol, I just hate when people do that to me without knowing it's true. ^_^

Apology Accepted ^_^

Art 281 04:37, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Just keep on reverting it. They will eventually get over with it Art 281 17:42, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Where in the Hart Family article? Art 281 17:47, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I am not a fan of the Hart Family, I do not know anything about them. I am good with the Divas. lol. Thanks anyways! I really appreciated Art 281 17:53, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I have requested semi-protection against the recurring IPs. Str1977 (talk) 21:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I already found reliable sources myself. I will do what I can to ensure that the info stays in the article. Str1977 (talk) 17:35, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Pat Miletich

Unfortunately, there are legal issues with both Pat Miletich and the accompanying Miletich Fighting Systems. It's in the Foundation's hands now, and no administrator will unprotect it except on behalf of them or OTRS. However, if you need any small, non-controversial edits made, just use {{editprotected}} or post on my talk page. :-) east.718 at 19:35, January 8, 2008

Hughes + Personal Life

In the future, I'll try not to just straight up delete the personal life section without either: a) discussing it, or b) relocating the information to other places in the article. The only problem I have is when it's set up like a trivia section, since those are discouraged. If it was set out in prose, somewhat like Hughes' "Biography" section, I'd probably leave it alone entirely.

As to Hughes' wife, I'm torn. On the one hand, Hughes does mention her name several times. On the other, it's borderline as to whether that's enough to get past WP:BLP#Privacy of names. I don't know that I'd go so far as to say that it's "important" to have her name in the article, because I don't see that it really adds anything more than "Matt is married" would, but Matt's certainly not going to any great lengths to keep her name private. She's not as public as Beth Franklin (which is why I left her name in Rich's article after my last edits), but she does have several mentions on his website. My general policy is to err on the side of removing names of non-public people other than the subject of the article, just to be safe. Gromlakh (talk) 03:20, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Steve McMichael...

I didn't put it on there I just made it sound better that's all. Also, I was gonna go look for a source. lol Crash Underride 22:42, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Mickie James

Links go dead all the time, so it is better to have more than one citation for something related to WP:BLP. One more link never hurt anyone. Also, the source that you added stating they are no longer dating is not reliable (http://www.wrestlingepicenter.com/5678articles/214611420.shtml). See WP:R for what constitutes a reliable source. Also, for the future, please format citations using the Template:cite web. Thanks. Nikki311 06:27, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Revert

Hi, there. Could I trouble you for an explanation of this revert please? I do not understand why you removed citations from an article, and left the edit summary "Don't change citations.". The user didn't changed any citations. (S)He added citations to the articles, and changed unsourced info to reflect the information contained in the citation. I haved reverted your edits, as I don't see a plausible reason for your removal of the reference. If I am wrong, let me know, and I will gladly revert myself. Thank you, ♥NiciVampireHeart02:40, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok. I was just wondering as it seemed a strange revert to me. Thanks for the explanation. ♥NiciVampireHeart02:52, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: Massaro question

SLAM! Wrestling is a division of the Canadian Online Explorer, a major news site in Canada that is undoubtedly considered reliable. The fact that they published the story means a lot. I understand about the issue with her MySpace, which is why I didn't cite it instead. The fact that she changed the wording from daughter to family member doesn't really matter IMO. Nikki311 02:26, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

You changed his birthdate, saying that you got it from DiBiase's new book, but never changed the citation. Can I steer you in the direction of Template:cite book? If you go back and fill in the reference it would be great. Or, if you tell be the page number, publisher and isbn number, I can do it. Thanks, ♥NiciVampireHeart03:07, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry about it. I'm sure someone'll have it. Thanks, ♥NiciVampireHeart13:33, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: McMahon

I think that the first source is reliable enough that the the second one saying boy could be removed. Another citation in the lead would be good too. Also, sooner or later WWE.com will post something about the new baby, so that can be added as a source whenever it happens. ;) ♥NiciVampireHeart16:09, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Tito trivia

Do not simply revert it. If you are going to incorporate into the article do so. Simply reverting it and leaving it "as is" will not surfice. This type of stuff has already been removed before per WP:TRIVIA. So if you wish the statements to stay you need to go ahead and incorporate them into the article.Swampfire (talk) 20:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

You need to read WP:TRIVIA which mandates removal. Unless someone like you that wants it to stay incorporates it. So since you want it to stay you need to incorporate it. Other wise I am following the mandates of WP:TRIVIA and removing it.Swampfire (talk) 20:38, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
In fact, YES they should ALL be changed. As all the ones on Wiki are supposed to be changed. The ones I have just removed had already been removed by others and placed on the talkpage. Swampfire (talk) 20:46, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Simply moving three sentences up to biography is not incorporating it. You need to incorporate it the right way by rewriting the paragraph. or I will remove it as trivia again. Because there are also other policies that go against putting random information in the article such as WP:IINFO So I implore you, If you want it to stay, you need to incorporate it properly.
