Ref desk assumption

[edit]
I didn't assume. I asked. I also find that if one doesn't make such questions explicit, the unthinking original assumers (that everyone else is just like them) don't get the point. HiLo48 (talk) 20:40, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reference desk:Entertainment

[edit]

Hey there. I wanted to let you know that your response at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Entertainment, as well-meaning as I'm sure it was, unfortunately was feeding a known troll of the Reference desk. This person asks this same question over and over, despite it having been answered before. The only thing that changes is the game he's asking about. --McDoobAU93 22:35, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

thanks

I really appreciate your comment. μηδείς (talk) 11:48, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

At distance learning

[edit]

What University was that? Thank you indeed. Newyorkboyy (talk) 18:03, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Technically a college. Langara. And yes, the exams were all online open book.

Since you are interested

I'll take the opportunity to ask a personal question. May I know the etymology of your user name? μηδείς (talk) 21:45, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wish it was something more interesting than what it is. Pet name that my wife gave me. She's Chinese and I don't speak any, so that was mock Chinese to mock my poor efforts at trying to speak it.
That's perfectly interesting, thanks. μηδείς (talk) 15:21, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Myaddressing you here is satire, not a serious challenge. μηδείς (talk) 23:31, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Heads-up

[edit]

If you haven't seen it, this thread [1] on the language desk might be something you should look at. I have no idea what this IP editor playing at. AlexTiefling (talk) 01:45, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I would never have seen it. See my reply over there: I'd love to know the answer myself (and who asked). Mingmingla (talk) 02:50, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In case you are interested, I've suggested possible characters and tonal pronunciations for Mingmingla in a late addition to that thread. Marco polo (talk) 01:37, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sticking around?

[edit]

I hope you can stick around Wikipedia. You can create more new articles at Wikipedia:Article wizard or edit articles about topics that interest you. Also, you can go to WP:village pump and make comments; WP:village pump (miscellaneous) is a nice start to ask others what else to do in Wikipedia. If confused about editing Wikipedia, go to WP:help desk. --George Ho (talk) 09:41, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
