@Zackmann08:

you are (redacted) with absolutely no connection to this information other than an outdated city website. you cannot even name the proper chief of the department. please feel free to add to the page however your vandalism will not be tolerated. please go back to finish your (Personal attack removed) before you decide to edit this page again. final warning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Newhavenfire97 (talkcontribs)

Please bear in mind that one of the cornerstones of Wikipedia is a community of editors. You need to work collaboratively with other editors, not adversarially. Personal attacks like the one above will not be tolerated on Wikipedia.
While it's clear you have some knowledge about the subject, you must work within the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia if you want to add it to articles here. I suggest you take the time during your block to review WP:Consensus, WP:No personal attacks, WP:Three revert rule, and WP:Civility. If your edits after you block show that you aren't able to follow these guidelines, you may lose your ability to edit for a longer or indefinite duration. —C.Fred (talk) 13:39, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First let me welcome you to Wikipedia! I noticed you have reverted edits on the page for the department you are, I can only assume, a member of. You must understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is NOT a blog or webhost to convey information about your department. Lengthy list of all stations that have been closed or details apparatus profiles are not encyclopedic. Additionally, as you are clearly affiliated with the department, you must be careful about WP:BIAS. The section about the court case is well documented and is more than appropriate to be on this page. You are welcome to add to it just like anyone, but simply removing it from the page is not appropriate. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page or to reply here. If you choose to reply here, please place {{ping|Zackmann08}} at the start of your response. That way I will be alerted to come back and read it. Hoping you are well. --Zackmann08 (talk) 23:49, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at New Haven Fire Department shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —C.Fred (talk) 22:11, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on New Haven Fire Department. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Be very careful using labels like "vandal" and "troll" when describing other editors.C.Fred (talk) 13:29, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring, as you did at New Haven Fire Department. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  —C.Fred (talk) 13:32, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
