From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, I'm Juliancolton (talk · contribs). I'd like to personally welcome you and thank you for your contributions thus far. As you probably know, Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia collaboratively written entirely by volunteers. If you ever see anything that can be improved—be it correcting a typo or writing a new article—feel free to fix it yourself! Don't worry about making mistakes; one of the many editors will probably notice and quickly correct it. If you have any questions, just place the text {{helpme}} on your talk page, and an administrator will help you shortly. Alternatively, you could join the #wikipedia-en-help IRC channel, where dozens of friendly helpers await. You can find out more about the project here, but I won't bore you with statistics and rules. Just remember to be civil to other editors, to always cite your sources, and to write articles from a neutral point of view, and you should be good to go.

Wikipedia is a huge website; with nearly 3 million articles, it is the single biggest encyclopedia in the world. Additionally, there are thousands of policy and process pages, so it can be a bit overwhelming, even to experienced users. When I was new, I found the Tutorial particularly helpful. You might also want to check out the glossary. The Reference Desk serves as our library reference desk, where you can ask nearly any question imaginable.

The Featured Articles and Good Article pages are good places to look for some of our most well-written and comprehensive articles. On the other end of the spectrum, we have thousands of articles that require cleanup of some sort, so feel free to help out.

I hope you've found this advice helpful. Feel free to contact me for more information. –Juliancolton | Talk 05:17, 6 September 2009 (UTC) Welcome![reply]

Hello, Now wiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi. When you recently edited Baltika Breweries, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tula and Samara (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. KLM

[edit]

Hi there,

Further to your edits at KLM, please note that we don't include information about fleet age on airline pages, per the guidelines at WP:AIRLINES / WP:AIRLINE-FLEET-LIST. Thanks SempreVolando (talk) 13:44, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, don't you agree guidelines can be changed if they are unreasonable?---Now wiki (talk) 17:55, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that is possible, but you must raise the topic at the project talk page and gain consensus for such a change first. The cited policy is based on established consensus. Thanks SempreVolando (talk) 02:11, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider a few words from me: how about start a blog (or web site?) and put what you have done over there? Keep an eye on other articles you are interested? Think about it, let me know. Best wishes. --Now wiki (talk) 06:58, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Boeing 737 Max edits

[edit]

Hello. I'm sorry I reverted you but I didn't think your version quite worked. I could not see how "In a 2016 report, Boeing was said to improve its range" works - it doesn't seem to quite make sense, although I do see what you are getting at and I agree that it needs updating. Would you like another go, or to take it to the talk page maybe, please? Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 08:34, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Any suggestions? Separately, I don't understand why this edit was also reverted? Can you have a second look? Thanks.--Now wiki (talk) 14:43, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi and thanks for the nice reply – I can answer the second bit first – laziness, confusion and stupidity on my part, sorry! Please feel free to whack it straight back in, with my apologies.
On the other wording, meh, I don't know ... it used to say that Boeing was planning to yadda yadda ... does the report that you reference actually say now that Boeing DID improve the range, or that that was the plan? There must be some formula that makes it clear ... sorry to cause confusion. There's something a bit awkward about the "said to" bit that points to claims/hearsay/whatever and it would be lovely to get it clear. That said, I will not revert again, having had my token moan, if you just put it all back. I just hoped we could get something which was instantly clear, is all.
We could always take this to the article Talk page and get more eyes on it ... I do know that that can cut both ways, however ... Cheers DBaK (talk) 15:11, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfulfilled orders of Airbus aircraft

[edit]

Hey, you changed figures in fleet tables according to this document: https://www.airbus.com/sites/g/files/jlcbta136/files/2022-12/Airbus-A320neo-Customer-List-December-2022.pdf

That document shows only the amount of total orders ever made. But in the fleet tables of WP the amount of unfulfilled aircraft orders is needed. That pdf file you stated does not show the amount of unfulfilled Airbus orders.

The amount of unfulfilled orders can easily calculated with the XLS file accessed via https://www.airbus.com/en/products-services/commercial-aircraft/market/orders-and-deliveries in the file tab "Worldwide". WikiPate (talk) 16:38, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
