Please share some of the errors that you see in the section on anti-semetism in the article... but as I point out, please remember that the SPPX rejects Vatican II and the changes made since then. Thus, the current teachings of the SSPX are those teachings that were promulgated 45+ years ago.Balloonman 18:17, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know SSPX well enough to correct anything in the article about their views. It was just that one sentence seemed to generalize their views to the entire Roman Catholic Church. The church's tradition didn't just stop in 1962. And the sentence seem to imply that the current view of the Roman Catholic Church (and not SSPX's) was that Jews needed to be converted. That goes against everything I've read on Jewish-Catholic relations.
- It could just be the way the sentence was worded. I think it is an error to label the SSPX as "traditional" because that means that the current, post-Vatican II Roman Catholic Church is somehow "untraditional" because it has changed. It defines what tradition and orthodoxy are, not SSPX. Using "traditional" to define the views of a schismatic group means that the mainstream Roman Catholic Church is the deviant one (without tradition) when it is the other way around. I'm just arguing for better terminology or a precise use of it. --Nwjerseyliz 20:07, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

- Balloonman, I don't mean to ignore your post on the SSPX Discussion Page--in fact I haven't looked at it yet--but there has been a death in the house and defending my point of view suddenly seems unimportant. I will respond to what you wrote on SSPX webpage in a few days once things have settled down at home. I'm not sure if you'll even see this but I didn't see a way to post a message to you. I'm still a Wikipedia neophyte, having mainly been lurker until very recently. Peace.--Nwjerseyliz 16:50, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- No problem... my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...Balloonman 17:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your kind words. She wasn't a relative but the person I have shared a house with for the past 6 years. She wasn't in the best of health but her death was unexpected. I hope to be in the chatting mood again soon! Thanks again.--Nwjerseyliz 22:20, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
