Nihongo template

[edit]

Pleae do not remove any instances of this template as it is part of the Manual of Style (Japan-related articles). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks! ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:31, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'd like to remove non-active ships (or non-future ones) from the template. I think it's not sensible to have every single post-war class on there. It's just too large at the moment and clutters the articles up, so it needs to be cut down - this would happen if inactive ships were removed. I'll do it myself, I just want to know that it's ok with you. If you want to keep a template for the old ships, just make a new one for ex-JMSDF ships or something.

Also I want to change the template name to "JMSDF Combatant Ships", or something? "Combatant Ship" sounds like Engrish.... John Smith's 22:49, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thank you very much - I will go around changing the templates. John Smith's 08:59, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, again. I had a look at the template and saw an entry for "5000t class" under DD: Destroyer. I haven't heard of this - do you have some information in English we could use for an article? If this is just a plan and there's no confirmation of when construction's going to start, what specifications it's going to have, etc I think it would be best to delete the entry on the template. I would have done it myself, but I wanted to check with you first as obviously you wouldn't have put it in without a reason. Thanks, John Smith's 11:24, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Openbox. I thought you might like to take part in the Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Japan discussion - it is about your own country, after all! John Smith's 19:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be low:

Edit summary usage for Open-box: 42% for major edits and 11% for minor edits. Based on the last 92 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.

Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 18:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
