Royal Navy ships

[edit]

Thank you for your many contributions of Royal Navy ships. You may like to look at HMS C1 which I have wikified into a format which is used elsewhere in this kind of article. Perhaps you could modify your new article template to work like this. Your ongoing contributions are valued. Welsh 13:09, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning!

[edit]

A tag has been placed on HMS C22, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hi Oscarclass. Good work on a very neglected field on Wiki. I have added the general characterstics to the above article as I have their details in 'Conways All the Worlds Fighting Ships' for the period. I'd very much recommend this series of books as the sheer detail of information is excellent. Looking forward to reading more of your work. Cheers Galloglass 00:29, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Los Angeles class

[edit]

Hi Oscarclass. I noticed your edit to the LA-class article, and it's not exactly clear to me just what was changed. I see that you made a new infobox and deleted the old one, and changed some minor info in that box, but I'm not really sure why the new way is better than the old way, etc. Were you bringing it into line with some ship-class standard or something? Anyway, if you wouldn't mind dropping by the talk page and telling a little bit about your edit, that'd be great.

Thanks! - Rem01 (talk) 16:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sub articles

Thanks for all the stub articles you've been adding on submarines! I wanted to mention a couple things:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
