Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Pekayer11! I am Wireless Keyboard and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Your rollback request
[edit]Hello Pekayer11, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Please remember that rollback is for reverting vandalism/spam, and that misuse of the tool, either by revert-warring with other users, or simply reverting edits you disagree with, can lead to it being removed. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 17:53, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Global Radio
[edit]I am not vandalising this page at all!
Please see the discussion page on SkyBon's account as to why I have deleted that section for a second time (he reverted my edits to that page the first time!)... Thank You 81.132.254.98 (talk) 22:08, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but as I have pointed out. The citations are not only quite dubious, but the paragrapah itself has nothing really to do with Global Radio - it is to do with LBC, who happened to be owned by Global. The people in that article are not criticising Global Radio as a whole - JUST LBC. Hence, it is really irrelevant to the page. Also, the issue itself is relatively minor but the way it appears on the page makes it look much bigger than it really is. 81.132.254.98 (talk) 22:21, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
81.132.254.98
[edit]Excuse me, Pekayer 11, but you have given 81.132.254.98 a level four warning. I want to know why as he has only vandalized 2 times. Please reply on my talk page. Thanks. Wireless Keyboard (talk) 23:24, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:30, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Edit War?
[edit]Hmm...You might have started a minor edit war with 81.132.254.98. It when I reviewed the page, it seemed like 81.132.254.98 was not committing vandalism. Do you know that if someone sometimes "blanks" or removes some content from a section, it still really isn't vandalism and you or the other user shouldn't have given him a warning, I wouldn't have. Wireless Keyboard (talk) 00:04, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I really don't care what you would have done... he removed content that was relevant.

Hello. I noticed that you reverted an edit made by User:Heron to the Stainless steel article. I disagree with your edit, especially the fact that you used rollback on the edit and then templated Heron with a "welcome to Wikipedia" message. Please be more careful with your use of rollback. If you read the actual edit Heron made, you will see that his characterization of the edit as unhelpful in his edit summary is accurate and the article is much better without that text. Also, if you insist on templating long-time users, make sure you use a template or alter the template so it is accurate, as Heron certainly does not need a "welcome to Wikipedia" message, and the text of the template you left says "When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary" which Heron clearly did in his edit you reverted. Again, this isn't an attack on you, but please don't be so quick to revert what you think is vandalism that you don't examine the content and context of the edit you are reverting. The Seeker 4 Talk 19:26, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I see... I am fairly new to wikipedia so I did not know how to edit the template or see how long User:Heron was on wikipedia. I will be more careful next time!
Pekayer11 (talk) 20:08, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Pekayer11. I can see from your comments that your rollback of my edit was made in good faith, so I'm not offended. No hard feelings, and welcome to WP! --Heron (talk) 20:38, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Not a problem, it isn't a big deal, I just thought I would point it out. Quick actions enabled by rollback and templates are great, but they have the disadvantage of being impersonal. The only thing you need to do is be extra careful to make sure the action you are taking is appropriate. For obvious reasons, a good-faith editor may be offended if treated like a vandal. I absolutely believe you thought Heron's edit, a removal of a block of text, was a clearcut case of deleting text for no good reason, and am not "yelling" at you for it. I simply wanted to advising you that something that looks like it might be vandalism needs to be looked at more carefully than cases where someone blanks an entire article or inserts nonsense or profanity in an article. We certainly need more vandalism reverters so don't get discouraged, just make sure you read the edit summaries and the actual text being added/removed. Good luck and happy editing. The Seeker 4 Talk 00:53, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Nowhere in the Protocols exists the excerpt 'A loan is an issue of Government paper which entails an obligation to pay interest amounting to a percentage of the total sum of the borrowed money. If a loan is at 5%, then in 20 years the Government would have unnecessarily paid out a sum equal to that of the loan in order to cover the percentage. In 40 years it will have paid twice; and in 60 thrice that amount, but the loan will still remain as an unpaid debt.'
Neither does the text 'Our Government will resemble the Hindu god Vishnu. Each of our hundred hands will hold one spring of the social machinery of State.' appear in the Protocols.
There is simply no proof of plagiarism in the References 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Please, read them carefully. Therefore, they should be omitted. DeltaT (talk) 23:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi, you reverted an edit on this article that was made for a good reason. The edit summary said to look at the talk page and this explained why the content was removed . Could you be more careful when reverting vandalism in the future. Thanks Smartse (talk) 19:53, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

I am not trying to be annoying, I just find it annoying that people get tons of edit but they spend most of their time to their User and User Talk page... it's just that they get tons and tons of edits and almost nothing to Wikipedia. I just feel that people shouldn't spend all their time editing something outside the article namespace... you have 1,700+ edits and only about 300 are to article namespaces... I have 410 edits to article namespaces and I have been on Wikipedia far less than you. You need to stop worrying about your User Page and start worrying about vandalism, improving articles, etc. Pekayer11 (talk) 01:24, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

So on my user page is a lot of user boxes (the ones with A, B, C, D, E, blah blah). Well I was wondering how would I put them to the right of my other stuff, which is here. I would want those user boxes to the right of everything and starting at the top.

Medal of Honor list
[edit]First I want to say thanks for splitting up the ACW Lists. I have meant to do that for a while but never got around to it. I did notice however that you change recipients to Recipients in some cases though and that is incorrect. Recipient should be lower case. --Kumioko (talk) 15:35, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it's just I have a really old computer and it can't read anything above like 110mb and I know some people had it worst so I split it up. Could you please tell me why recipients should be recipients not Recipients? Also, please sign all your posts with ~~~~.Pekayer11 (talk) 15:30, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry about that I thought I did sign it. I can't think of the spot specifically where it says that should be lower case but it is in the Manual of Style. Basically though its not a title, rank or salution (like Dr, Jr, etc). It falls into the same category as not capitalizing a rank unless it preceeds that name like Captain Smith vice Smith was a captain. --Kumioko (talk) 15:35, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Influence (team)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Influence (team) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Netalarmtalk 02:21, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Esperanza Spalding. Your edits have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in you being blocked from editing. --Skol fir (talk) 18:46, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
