Adoption.

[edit]

Yeah, I'd be happy to add you to my brood. :) Add {{adoptee|Dev920}} to your userpage and it's official. Feel free to bug me with any questions or anything you're finding difficult to understand. I'm ill at the moment, so I'm not editing very much (concentration's gone) but I can certainly help you out where I can. Gonna join WP:LGBT? Thanks for the image! It was just what I was after and it looks great. You don't have to edit the new articles page at all, just look at the list and tag anything with our banner that needs tagging. It updates automatically every day. You can categorise them too, if you know what cats to use. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 15:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey you. In answer to your "queeries" (lol);
  1. I have no idea about bots. Your best bet would be to ask SatyrTN (talk · contribs) - he handles all stuff like that for me. :)
  2. It reallly depends on what it is - sometimes you might be better off forminga subgroup of a larger project, or just working on them yourself until you come across enough like-minded people. For example, I set up WP:BRADFORD, but because I don't really know anyone who works on Bradford articles, the project isn't very sucessful. What is the area?
Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 11:19, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, well, that's definitely a need. WP:CAM would be a great addition to the 'pedia, though you might want to get some people who have been working on the relevant articles interested first. Good luck with your interviews. Hint: don't forget what your individual modules were - my interviewer was not impressed when I could only remember four. :D Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 17:59, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Pi, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles of interest to the LGBT community. Some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve LGBT-related articles, so if someone asks for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
  • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. We also have a unique program to improve our lower quality articles, Jumpaclass, so please consider signing up there.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • If you're planning to stay, have a square in our quilt! You can put anything you want in it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome!

Image tagging for Image:Rainbowghost.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rainbowghost.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. Bishop Heber High School

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Bishop Heber High School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. 81.168.62.225/212.219.118.131 Report at WP:AIV

[edit]

I removed the report because the contributions of both the IPs are too sporadic to be considered for vandal blocks. Blocks are preventive not punitive. Which means that vandals should only be blocked when the vandalism is current and not so sporadic. Current usually means within the last 48 hours. However vandalizers who edit week after week unconstructively are occasionally blocked as well.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:36, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 18:18, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your VandalProof Application

[edit]

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Pi. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. βcommand 14:35, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
