RE: Signatures

[edit]

Thx for the adoption Purple Rain. I am only 13 and I don't know about HTML or CSS, so I wa wondering how to put it in orange and black (Amber Hawk after all). Thx again —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aviation Ace (talkcontribs) 15:48, April 5, 2007

Thx

[edit]

Guess what? I just took an HTML and CSS online tutorial! I'm not really that good but I have a basic idea. Thx for helping me the name. I sent in a request for a change of username too. Q: Can I use your "Leave a new message" thing as template for one of my own? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aviation Ace (talkcontribs) 10:00, April 6, 2007

Adoptee

[edit]

Hi, I'm an adoptee. I saw you on the adopter's page and was wondering if you would adopt me? I have already made one slip up and don't wish to make any more! I would actually like to be a spelling and grammatical editor. Thanks for considering me. Independent147 (talk) 22:59, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please be more patient before deleting when a citation is requested.

[edit]

In regards to your hasty deletes in the Shaw Communications article I request that you give a sufficient amount of time for contributors to added citations when requested. The very use of a citation required reference advises all readers that the material may be suspect. A hasty delete is often a sign of a personal bias on the part of the editor. You should be commended for your hard work on the Shaw Communication article, however it is not your article it is public domain and I feel you were too quick to remove my contributions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.68.225.145 (talk) 15:58, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing this out. The reason I deleted it, instead of waiting for a citation, was because the wording sounded biased to me. I thought that with or without a citation, the paragraph was unencyclopedic. I have edited your paragraph to give it a more neutral tone. Hopefully that will make us both happy. —PurpleRAIN 21:38, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
See Talk:Shaw Communications/Archives/2014#"Compromised Network" paragraph for more on this.

See my comments on the Shaw Communications Discussion page on why I reinstated the paragraph in question. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.68.225.159 (talk) 17:08, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Scruj MacDuhk, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Scruj macduhk. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:57, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Scruj macduhk a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Scruj MacDuhk. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Thanks for the message. After I got the message from CorenSearchBot (above), I realized what I had done, but I could no longer move the article because the new Scruj MacDuhk article already existed, and I couldn't figure out how to delete it. I did post on Wikipedia:Requested moves, and looks like it has since been fixed. —PurpleRAIN 18:02, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
