Thank you for your suggestion! When you feel an article needs changing, please feel free to make whatever changes you feel are needed. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit any article by simply following the Edit this page link. You don't even need to log in! (Although there are some reasons why you might like to...) The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes—they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. If you're not sure how editing works, check out how to edit a page, or use out the sandbox to try out your editing skills. New contributors are always welcome.--Cyberjunkie | Talk 04:43, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Smadge1,

Welcome and enjoy Wikipedia. Your edits are much appreciated.

Be sure to check out Australian resources, like The Australia Wikiportal, Australian Wikipedians' Notice Board, Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight, New Australian Articles and Australian stub articles. You can list yourself at Australian Wikipedians.

Again, welcome.--Cyberjunkie | Talk 04:43, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not automated in the traditional sense. Rather, pre-prepared, but customised just for you :)! I noticed you leave some suggestions on the Brisbane talk page, and thought I'd welcome you to the 'Pedia. I hope you decide to stick around. Happy editing, --Cyberjunkie | Talk 04:56, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ferny Hills, Queensland article

[edit]

Re: [1]

Hi! You posted at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 October 12 requesting help with moving an article to the correct title. However, the link you provided is to Ferny Park Queensland, which does not exist; however, there is an appropriately-named article at Ferny Hills, Queensland ... were you perhaps referring to that one? For general information on renaming articles, please see here. Also feel free to leave me a message at my talk page if you have any questions. Happy editing, Black Falcon (Talk) 04:12, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coord

[edit]

Hi. You fixed Texas and Arana Hills already, but for future reference it is possible to use decimal degrees with {{coord}}. It's even possible to have them automatically converted into DMS:

{{coord|-28.8540|151.1680 }} 28°51′14″S 151°10′05″E / 28.8540°S 151.1680°E / -28.8540; 151.1680
{{coord|28.8540|S|151.1680|E }} 28°51′14″S 151°10′05″E / 28.8540°S 151.1680°E / -28.8540; 151.1680
{{coord|28.8540|S|151.1680|E |format=dms }} 28°51′14″S 151°10′05″E / 28.8540°S 151.1680°E / -28.8540; 151.1680
{{coord|28|51|17|S|151|10|06|E }} 28°51′17″S 151°10′06″E / 28.85472°S 151.16833°E / -28.85472; 151.16833
Ah, Degrees, Minutes, Seconds (I don't know why I was saying/thinking H:M:S) --smadge1 (talk) 22:08, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(Sorry about the missing sig.) Also, it's helpful to add whatever tags fit — region:, type:, and scale:. E.g. {{coord|28.8540|S|151.1680|E |format=dms |region:AU-QLD_type:city}}. {{Coord}} has the documentation.

Coords

[edit]

I'm aware that the geographical coords project doesn't like the Mapit, but as it's long-established practice and consensus of the cities project to use them on all municipalities and CDPs, we need to have them there unless some similar but better template of the same sort is devised. Thanks for the note. Nyttend (talk) 21:50, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YEC

[edit]

G'day. Did you bother reading what denialism is? "Denialism is the term used to describe the position of governments, political parties, business groups, interest groups, or individuals who reject propositions on which a scientific or scholarly consensus exists." Does that not neatly sum up the attitude of Young Earth creationists?

They are an interest group, and/or group of individuals, and they reject evolution, on which there is a scientific consensus that it occurs. That's a textbook definition of denialism. Really man, it's not that hard. 69.109.114.22 (talk) 07:09, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Smadge. I have moved the discussion on the Denialism link to the YEC talk page for further discussion if you would like to make a comment on it, please do so here. Cheers, T Berg Drop a Line ޗ pls 21:25, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
