Velika nagrada Francije 1906

Very impressive. ;) Apterygial talk 08:55, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes thanks, I did it again - as have you of course - and now early racing has a grand total of 2 FAs. --Sporti (talk) 09:48, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's certainly an under-represented area on Wikipedia. You wonder how many F1 fans have heard of the likes of Nuvolari or Rosemeyer, let alone Szisz or Caracciola. Apterygial talk 10:26, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'd just mention there is an inherent danger of treating Google searches as valid empirical research in an attempt to prove or disprove something. In the meantime, please check this out. Your feedback on would be much appreciated here. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 08:04, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • There's a lot of activity at present, and I'm wondering if the time is now ripe... We may have to launch the RfC shortly, so any help in getting the above page ready would be appreciated. Feedback on timing is also appreciated. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 16:19, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

I request that you immediately stop edit warring on the articles Robert Sabolič, Mitja Šivic, Matija Pintarič and others, to change the spelling of names with the profile template for NHL, Hockeydb, Eliteprospect, ect. When using these templates, the proper use of the name after the bracket for disambiguation, or to show the 'Profile Name' of hockey player. It is not to be used to show your preferred alternative spellings or whatever you like. Dolovis (talk) 04:27, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics templates

Please read its instructions before making unreasanable accusations. For example for {{Eliteprospects}}:

{{Eliteprospects|id|name}}

where:

  • id is the numeric id found in url
  • name is the player's name, use if article name has parenthesis

example:

{{Eliteprospects|2092|Tomi Kallio}}

produces: Tomi Kallio career statistics at EliteProspects.com --Sporti (talk) 05:18, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is used if the name at the profile page is different from the articles name (whether in parenthesis or not). Do not edit war ro push your POV. If the profile show name as "Joe Blow", then that is how it should appear in the External link. Dolovis (talk) 05:25, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is not used in this way, only you are trying to force it. It's used (as the instructions read) to write <player name>'s career stats. --Sporti (talk) 05:31, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As is usual Dolovis is wrong and he has been down this road before where a number of editors have told him he is wrong on this subject, but as per usual he ignores everything he is told if it doesn't agree with what he believes. Per wiki standard a word is supposed to be spelled the same throughout the entire page and not jump back and forth between spellings except in the lead sentence where you are showing an alternative spelling. The name parameter is only for the removal of bracketed disambiguators. -DJSasso (talk) 11:49, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
