Information icon Hello, I'm DB1729. I noticed that you recently removed content from Template:Medal templates documentation without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Robert Lewandowski. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:09, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

None of your edits were explained and several damaged existing references while other references were simply removed. Those are both problems. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:10, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

sorry I'am quite new i will make sure i will not break the rules sorry about and thank you.

Your GA nomination of Garry Kasparov

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Garry Kasparov you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Your GA nomination of Garry Kasparov

[edit]

The article Garry Kasparov you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Garry Kasparov for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. General suggestions

[edit]

To start a conversation in a talk page, such as you have done a couple of times at Garry Kasparov, you generally start by pressing the "New Section" button. This, by the way, puts your new conversation at the end of the file, rather than the beginning. By convention, talk pages are in chronological order, not in reverse chronological order.

Always sign your talk page contributions, by ending them with four tildes ("~~~~"). When your text is submitted, Wikipedia will substitute your username and a timestamp for the four tildes.

I'm sorry that your nomination of Garry Kasparov for GA didn't end well. A weird thing happened -- some guy who had previously been banned from Wikipedia, presumably for disruption of some kind, tried to come back under a new name, and before he got caught, he had picked up your nomination and was trying to carry it, without, however, doing any actual work. I don't know how one is supposed to prevent that sort of thing. However, I can tell you, that if you do the nomination, you are expected to do most of whatever fixes are required. This may be out of your depth as a novice editor, especially since it should be done on a reasonably tight schedule (so that other people aren't staying out of your way for too long). It's good that you are trying to improve Garry Kasparov, since it needs improvement, but it's probably inappropriate for you to try to carry it to GA at this point. Thanks, and welcome to Wikipedia! Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ștefania Mărăcineanu into Induced radioactivity. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 21:06, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
