AfDs

[edit]

Just because an article survives AfD doesn't mean you can put whatever you want in it. It is simply a consensus that an article should exist on that subject (with or without that exact title), it has no bearing on the content in the article itself.--Crossmr (talk) 00:03, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, indeed. May you be reminded, again, TKguy, that you do not own this article. Everything is to be discussed on the talk page before any major changes at all are made. As I have said before, I watch this article closely, usually daily, and will always do so. The article as it stands is a compromise by everyone. You are not completely happy with it, nor am I or others like Crossmr, but it is a compromise. Do not make edits without going to discussion page, or I will be in touch with the same people who have shut you down before. I encourage you to be careful. In the end, noone is trying to force anything. But you seem to insist that the article portray an extreme bias. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN -- not from your side, or from the other side. The article is not meant to be completely agreeable to either of us, but a balance of the two. Please consider that.
In the end TKguy, what we should all be working on is dispelling terrible stereotypes of all men in general, white men, non-asian men, and asian men. There are terrible stereotypes about Asian men that are just as bad as some of the stereotypes about white men. You should know that I understand that, and I do not like those offensive stereotypes of Asian men. I would speak out against it, and fight for Asian men in this. Why will you not fight for white men when they are portrayed unfairly? Sure, we are not all perfect, but what race is made up of all perfect men? Shouldn't we be fighting against stereotypes together? Isn't that the most productive way for everyone to get what they want? Is it impossible for you to understand why this article is terribly offensive to white men in the way that you would have it stand? I would really like to find some consensus on this if at all possible??
These are questions that I have that go way beyond any turf war over the article. If you are up for a discussion about these issues please let me know, and I am ready to hear your side if you are willing to talk. Hell, we live in a country with a multi-racial president. That should mean something should it not?

Follow-up on editing restriction

[edit]

Just a reminder that you need to actually discuss material with the goal of finding consensus. You are under a 1RR restriction at Asian fetish and related articles. The point of the restriction is not for you to space out your reverts, but rather to actually try to find some sort of consensus. If the current group of editors at the article seem irretrievably opposed, then you could request outside input in the form of a request for comment. In any case, this is a reminder that the goal of the 1RR is to address a tendency to edit-war against multiple other editors without seeking consensus. If that trend is continuing as a "slow" edit war, then you may find yourself restricted from editing the article entirely and asked to limit yourself to discussion on the talk page. I would rather you voluntarily choose this route, since any change you hope to make will need to be supported by someone besides you on the talk page anyway. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
