ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Sorting categories

Per WP:CATORDER, categories don't need to be alphabetically sorted. Using scripts to make automated cosmetic edits is not really all that helpful. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:44, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's alright. I merely alphabetize cats as an alphabetical order is easier to navigate, though I understand some not preferring it as it is a stylistic preference. Nomad

Hey, can you confirm what Sneider's wording was on the "Nomad" report? I had previously reverted this addition based on his comments on The Hot Mic being more vague than a verified report. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:34, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly. Per Sneider's article, "Saying ‘Yes’ to Nomad - [...] While there’s no confirmation on Evans’ role, I’m told that he’ll be back as Nomad, which is simply an alternate identity that Steve Rogers adopts after he becomes disillusioned with the U.S. government and abandons the Captain America costume and title. Nomad wears a dark blue and yellow uniform without any patriotic markings on it, as he considers himself a man without a country. It’s unclear whether Nomad’s true identity will be revealed to be Steve Rogers, as expected, or whether Evans will be playing other Nomads such as Edward Ferbel or Jack Monroe in this alternate timeline."
