208 vs 206[edit]

Hi, first of all, thanks for your work! After Donetsk and Luhansk are no longer independent (one way or the other), the linked page of the countries of the world has reverted to 206 countries. Is there are particular reason why this box still refers to 208 countries? Additionally, as this box is usually used on the user pages of users who may or may not (privately) agree with the number of 206 countries, is it really necessary to add the qualifier "of the [206/208] countries"? I don't mean to change the Wikipedia list of countries but I think users can reasonably come to a different conclusion as to what qualifies as a country for themselves.
