[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sensient logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Naming guidelines

[edit]

Concerning Wild Flavors, Inc., I changed the name from WILD Flavors, Inc. because of the policy found in the manual of style concerning trademarks found here.

The exact rule regarding the change is :

Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official":

* avoid: REALTOR®, TIME, KISS * instead, use: Realtor, Time, Kiss

Please do not change the spelling back.

Well if you'd explained that in the first place rather than invoking the irrelevant WP:COMMONNAME (which doesn't quote the above at all) it would have made more sense. Wjousts (talk) 12:46, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're right it does not, however the common name policy does state this in the very first line:

Articles are normally titled using the name which is most commonly used to refer to the subject of the article in English-language reliable sources. This includes usage in the sources used as references for the article.

That means we use the proper name and not the marketing name. I added the link to the second policy, which is referenced in the common name policy, to clarify what exactly I meant. I am sorry if I did not make myself clear when I linked to the policy, I will try to do so in the future. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 02:22, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perfume to good article

[edit]

I've noticed that you work quite a bit on the fragrance an flavour article around wikipedia. Are you interested in collaborating on Perfume to make it a good article? I think a bit of clean-up and some more citations to some sections can make this article quite good. -- Sjschen (talk) 15:27, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All files in category Unclassified Chemical Structures listed for deletion

[edit]

One or more of the files that you uploaded or altered has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it/them not being deleted. Thank you.

Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at Frutarom, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage newer editors. Please read Wikipedia:NOTVAND for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. SudoGhost 17:51, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
