Question from MD. ABIR HASAN ASMAUL (09:01, 1 November 2024)

[edit]

Hi I am abir. How I write a article at Wikipedia? --MD. ABIR HASAN ASMAUL (talk) 09:01, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MD. ABIR HASAN ASMAUL, Hello, you can follow the process at WP:AFC. Zoozaz1 (talk) 03:11, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
it's work . then what I need to do? MD. ABIR HASAN ASMAUL (talk) 07:49, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
MD. ABIR HASAN ASMAUL, I'm not sure what you are referring to, but to write an article you need to read the page that I linked above, click on the button to create the draft for your article, write the article, and then submit it. Zoozaz1 (talk) 23:21, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Jimrot45556 (00:00, 12 November 2024)

[edit]

Hello I’m trying to write an article about a 4 point checklist which points to the correct winner of every us election since 1916. The développer has a twitter account and I can rely on his posts and their dates as sources or references. Any tips on how to write the draft and save also ?

Thanks in advance, Sincerely, --Jimrot45556 (talk) 00:00, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jimrot45556, unless there is a lot of media coverage of this checklist (see WP:NOTABLE), your article won't be approved, so look for those reliable sources and then cite those as references. Zoozaz1 (talk) 00:55, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The model is still new, the developper put his history and retroactive application of it since the us election of 1916. He correctly called the 2024 election before election day, looking at the date of his tweets posts as main references Jimrot45556 (talk) 15:48, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Jimrot45556, I see, then it probably won't qualify for an article. Zoozaz1 (talk) 20:27, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Question from CGama20 (02:21, 25 November 2024)

[edit]

what are the basic thing to look at when trying to edit an article --CGama20 (talk) 02:21, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

CGama20, I'm not sure what you mean, it depends on what you want to edit. You might be adding content, images, or references, fixing typos, or deleting sections. Zoozaz1 (talk) 22:15, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Edifyhub (10:00, 27 November 2024)

[edit]

Hello,

I wish you could be of help for me. Please, explain to me what it is called disruptive editing.

Thanks, in anticipation. --Edifyhub (talk) 10:00, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(I hope you don't mind my jumping in, Zoozaz1 -- I was interested in this editor's activities after reading this ANI thread, and wanted to answer an outstanding question.)
Edifyhub, you have been getting warnings about "disruptive editing" because some of your edits add errors that other editors have to un-do. For example, this change adds a mistake because that paragraph explains that Anonymus really is the name of the author. And this one adds a mistake because "throughput" is a technical term which is accurate in this context. When I look at your edit history, it looks like at least some of your edits are OK and not disruptive. This one is helpful because it fixes a formatting problem, for example. Your two most recent edits (this and this) also don't add any mistakes.
Please continue to be careful that your copy-edits do not add new mistakes. For example, avoid technical topics if you are unfamiliar with them, and check the context of the article to make sure something odd doesn't have another explanation. I would also encourage you to spend some time on research and adding sources, rather than just copy-edits: the English Wikipedia has relatively little need for copyediting, but there are a lot of topics that need more information added to them. There is a list of suggestions and links here with advice for non-copyediting tasks. If you have more questions you can also ask at WP:TEA or on my talk page. Thanks for your work to improve Wikipedia, and happy editing. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 20:27, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from BigChungusFrom (02:19, 3 December 2024)

[edit]

Would we use American of Australian spelling? 🤔 --BigChungusFrom (talk) 02:19, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

BigChungusFrom, Either form is fine as long as it is consistent within the article, though unless it is an Australian topic American spelling would be preferred. Zoozaz1 (talk) 02:56, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from SilverJesus64 on Talk:Human-powered aircraft (07:11, 9 December 2024)

[edit]

Why is not my great Uncle mentioned in Wiki. It is my understanding, and I was at the event in 1975, North Kingstown Rhode Island at the Quonset airfield. My great-uncle lieutenant colonel Joe zinno, also an engineer along with his older brother Clarence Zinno, made US history. They have a plaque even in the Smithsonian institute stating so. Unfortunately after the flight the plane was in a hanger and both doors were open to gust of wind blew the aircraft the rope broken and smashed into quite a few pieces and was never put back together. Many people were attempting this feat to win the $100,000 prize. If you look at closely the nzb standing for Zinno Brothers.. aircraft and design and build you'll see how close the resembles the build from the MIT gossamer 3. My great-uncle was not in the best of health at the time of his peddling, but he refused to let anyone younger answer the plane and break the record. I would like you to do for the research and add my uncles my great uncle's name to Wikipedia, after all he was the first documented human powered flight in the United States of America. And your research will prove that my short editorial is accurate. He also has a short biography of his life which I encourage you to read. Thank you and God bless you your family and friends! --SilverJesus64 (talk) 07:11, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SilverJesus64, Wikipedia is open for anybody to edit, so you are free to do the research and add your uncle to the article, as long as you provide reliable, written sources - unfortunately we can't rely on personal testimony/experience, but I would recommend looking for newspaper accounts from 1975 for your reliable source. Zoozaz1 (talk) 13:06, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
After doing further research when I googled his name I saw an article that was containing Wikipedia already so there's no need for me to do it I was just surprised it was not in the content of the original message that I saw posted because nowhere in that particular article didn't mentioned lieutenant Colonel Joe Zinno. apparently he was overlooked in that article that I read and not included but when you look at his design of his airplane it's the exact copy of the one that won the $100,000 prize there's no jealousy here my uncle wasn't even ticked off just all those man hours building it and then having it crash and having some damage when it was flying that must have been the biggest heartache and again thank you for getting back to me so soon God bless you your family your friends in the Name of Christ Jesus amen SilverJesus64 (talk) 15:01, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
SilverJesus64, excellent, glad to heard that you found that article, and best wishes to you as well. Zoozaz1 (talk) 16:03, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello zoozaz, how complicated is writing articles on Wikipedia --Success Ndlovu (talk) 19:05, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Success Ndlovu, it is pretty complicated, there are a lot of policies and guidelines that have to be followed. WP:YFA lists the process for writing an article, and you can submit it through WP:AFC. Zoozaz1 (talk) 21:42, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
