Vladislav "Vlad" Blănuță (born 12 January 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga I club Universitatea Cluj, on loan from Liga II club FC U Craiova. Born in Moldova, he represents Romania at youth international level.[1]

Club career

Blănuță started his career in Czech Republic at the age of 10, playing with Slavoj Vyšehrad and Slavia Prague, before returning to his hometown Hîncești with Petrocub Hîncești. He would leave for Regal Sport București at age 14, before going to the academy of Rapid București and then Pescara.[2] Blănuță made his professional debut for the latter on 27 December 2020 in a 3–0 league defeat against Virtus Entella.[3][4]

On 4 September 2022, Blănuță joined Romanian club FC U Craiova on a season long loan deal.[5] Following 12 appearances and a goal, Blănuță's loan was made permanent for a fee of 250,000 euros.[6]

Blănuță is a former Moldova youth international.[7][8]

Personal life

Vladislav is the son of current Moldova women's national team manager Eduard Blănuță.[9]
