Wikipedia:Editor review/Backbeatlistener

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Backbeatlistener (talk · contribs · count) Even though I have been registered on this site for about 3 years, my contributions to Wikipedia have been somewhat scarce. I occasionally do some decent work, and would generally like to know if I am being as helpful as I could be. Backbeatlistener (talk) 21:23, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

Hi Backbeatlistener! Just remember an old clichéd phrase: Quality, not quantity. Make sure every edit you do contributes toward the good of Wikipedia and it's standards, and before you know it, your edit count will visibly increase... Nevertheless, you are keen to help out on Wikipedia and that's what matters.

Your contributions show a passion for Ireland-related articles, but also variety of other interests, which is particularly good for an user with less than 100 edits.

It's always good to show contributions in different areas of Wikipedia, not just the article namespace. Collaboration and association with other users is important and good communication skills (also spelling and grammatical correct-ness) show other users that you are reliable, trustworthy and can relate well. Also, remember the small things when editing: including spelling, grammar, references when necessary and edit summaries. I hope you decide to stay with Wikipedia, because I believe you have what it takes to be a top-quality editor.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask on my talk page and I will respond as soon as possible, but remember that trusted administrators are plentiful on WP and are usually good at solving difficult problems. All the best. - Nimbusania talk 04:04, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
I did some decent work on a Fair City character list, and lately did some work against vandalism. I know these are small contributions compared to the other users here, but I would just like to know if I'm doing it sort of "right". 1
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
No not particularly. On one of my first edits I made an un-sourced contribution, but this was deleted immediately and I think I have learned alot since then. 2
