JetLover (talk · contribs) I've been on Wikipedia for 3 months, hoping to become an admin just before 2008. I have more than 4000 edits, and I was asked to admin once and I've been mistaken for admin a few times. So go ahead...toss your tomatoes! Cheers, JetLover (talk) 03:30, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

- I really like what I'm seeing. I really do. You PROD, you SD tag things, you AFD things, and you basically do a lot of stuff right. For a user of only 4 months, you have a very balanced edit count over the namespaces. If possible, you might want to participate in the RFA process and the admin noticeboards to get a feel for how people use rhetoric and policy to keep the wiki in peace. Just edit for maybe two or three more weeks at your current rate, and you'll pretty much be in shape for adminship. I'll be keeping a watch on you, so expect to hear from me soon. bibliomaniac15 Prepare to be deleted! 02:19, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Addendum: By the way, you might want to put your e-mail up or authenticate it so others can contact you privately. bibliomaniac15 Prepare to be deleted! 02:21, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- This edit right here had me in concern. Remember not to bite the newbies. Miranda 01:51, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ah yes, that. That was a joke I did because of this It was all in jest. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 03:01, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Still if you want to become an admin, you need to assume good faith, and not bite the newbies. Don't worry, I have to do this as well. Miranda 04:20, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Then again, Wikipedia:Newcomers are delicious, so go ahead and bite them. The problem with inside jokes is that observers may not realize that it's a joke and copy the behavior when it's not appropriate. - Jehochman Talk 03:57, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
I just don't understand how I was "biting" him if it was simply a harmless joke we both played on each other. Surley my edit summary "so it's war you want is it!" pointed to horseplay. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 18:34, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Write a few articles. Get in a few DYK's or a GA, and maybe join a WikiProject, and you'll save yourself many, many opposes in January/February. Maxim(talk) (contributions) 22:54, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Please read WP:PROD before using the template. I've seen several times that you've reverted someone's removal of {{prod}} saying "please don't remove the prod". Please note that the template says "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to its deletion for any reason," and "If this template is removed, it should not be replaced." --Agüeybaná 04:17, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- Well, I regularly moderate airsoft because there are a lot of bad edits made to the page. And I also update Dogfights (TV) as season 2 unfolds. One thing I'm proud of is that I fight vandalism without Twinkle or anything like that, I just undo it using my own instinct, and I'm still pretty good at it. I also watch a lot of documentary stuff and I often eliminate redlinks on History Channel.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I had a conflict with Sam ov the blue sand on Ace Combat. I added a "error" section and he removed one that said planes can get hit by a missile and keep flying. I reverted with my reason in the edit summary, but when he reverted again, I contacted him and we debated. Eventually, I was able to convice him to let it stay.
- Have you been a major contributor to any featured content or good articles? Have you been involved in any policy discussions? - Jehochman Talk 04:11, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortianatley, no I have not made any featured or good articles. But I do get involved with policy discussions. Hell, I'm in one right now! WT:UP. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 04:16, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- To dip your toe in the water, why don't you cruise over to WP:GA or WP:FA and help evaluate some candidates. We're here to write an encyclopedia so it's a good idea for every admin to be familiar with both of these processes. Administrating should not be about enforcement only. - Jehochman Talk 05:40, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

- Do you intend to have an RfA in the near future? Why or why not? Daniel 12:19, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- Definatley not soon. I want to gain a lot of experience. I do have my sights on an RFA sometime, but I can wait. I also would not like to nominate myself, I'd like someone else to be the judge of my abilities. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 03:47, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
