Mizu onna sango15 (talk · contribs) I am a relatively new contributor here, so I don't expect a perfect review, and this is my first. I would just like to see how I am doing so far as I help contribute. :) Mizu onna sango15/珊瑚15 19:51, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

Review from Sephiroth BCR Hello, I've seen you around at WP:ANIME and wouldn't mind giving a review. You seem to have adjusted to Wikipedia quite adeptly in learning our policies and guidelines; however, I applaud you the most for the consistent civility and calmness you've demonstrated here. This was exceptionally admirable. Since you've shown participation in new page patrolling and reverting vandalism, I would recommend you acquire some of the several tools that can expedite this, namely WP:TWINKLE, WP:HUGGLE, and WP:Lupin. More so than the other two, Twinkle offers a host of other options for you in relation to CSD and AfD, activities you seem to becoming more involved in. As you occasionally welcome users as well, WP:FRIENDLY might be a useful tool for you to utilize as well, and you can tag articles as you see fit also. I can't really make any recommendation other than continuing what you are doing. Since you're a part of WP:ANIME, you might want to become more involved in the editing of anime and manga articles, and plenty of editors in the project would be willing to help you. Naturally, what you deign to edit is entirely your decision; we're all volunteers here. Also, as you expressed an interest in nominating User:Collectonian for adminship, if you're interested in becoming an administrator yourself, you might want to pursue admin coaching. As an administrator, I fully believe that you possess the right temperament, and it's simply a matter of accumulating enough experience.

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Early on, I was more involved with reverting vandalism and warning anons/users for vandalising than I was with mainspace editing, as you can see from my contribs. However, as of late, I have been focusing more on contributing to articles and have more-or-less cut down on vandalism warning. It is hard to say which edits of which I am particularly proud because I am still new here, but I have made more contributions to Sweeney Todd (film) than any other article, and am very proud of its current status, though it is still B-class. I am also a new page patroller and (recently) an XFD participant, and nominate articles for speedy deletion when appropriate.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have been it two minor but recent conflicts since I have been here, one of which I am still somewhat involved in. The first was a misunderstanding between I, Collectonian, and Edito*Magica which was quickly resolved upon speaking with Collectonian, and the other current conflict being between I and GeoffEighinger which stems from a few of Geoff's articles which I have either prodded or nominated for deletion. I am currently trying to deal with this argument as best I can.
When dealing with conflicts, I try to eschew directing criticism at the editor and more at the edits themselves to avoid being unkind, though in the past I have made some mistakes, as have all of us. For the most part I have been civil in these situations, even when another user directs their frustration at me uncivilly.
