The Utahraptor[edit]

The Utahraptor (talk · contribs · count) I am The Utahraptor, an active vandal fighter and contributor here on Wikipedia. I joined the encyclopedia in November of 2009, and ever since I have, so to speak, fallen in love with Wikipedia. The first article I created was Stansbury Island. It's not an article that has a lot of content, but I'll be working on that soon. I've been very active on Wikipedia since June 2010. I had an RfA on June 25 that was unsuccessful, and I want to try another RfA sometime next year. The UtahraptorTalk to me/Contributions 23:59, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
If I had decided to do an editor review in June or July, my answer to this question would've been vandal fighting. However, since then, I've participated in all three of the Guild of Copy Editors' copy editing backlog elimination drives, and I've also started doing some more content editing. I created several stub articles when I first joined Wikipedia, so I plan to eventually go back to them and expand them to at least Start class. I also plan to assist the article Silver Reef, Utah in attaining GA status.
  2. Have you been in any disputes over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I haven't been in any editing disputes, but I was involved in a rather lengthy and insulting discussion at Talk:Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. When told that I had plagiarized, I left this rather nasty comment. Somebody calmed me down, thankfully. Also, this discussion kind of frustrated me, but I left when it got too stressful to avoid a repeat of what happened on Talk:Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Reviews

Hi I'll be reviewing you :) My review will be posted shortly.

You regularly use your edit summaries, giving a brief description of what your edit constituted which is good, your article assessments are on the money. Over 40% of your edits are in the mainspace which is good :) You're certainly a committed vandal fighter, you've issued the correct warnings per the severity and frequency of vandalism by vandals which is good, you assume good faith a lot which is good and in regards to your little outburst I would say you handled that well.

From the first dispute to that last dispute you learnt, quickly might I add, from the experience and didn't engage in an edit war or go into a long lengthy dispute :) which is to be commended. Overall, adminship is a goal within your reach with respect to your contributions and level-headedness in that later dispute. Since your registration you have progressed at a fast pace, you would definitely make a fine admin :) Keep up the good work! If you were unsatisfied with my review let me know and I'll try to improve, this is the first time I've ever reviewed someone. Regards and happy editing, —Ғяіᴆaз'§ĐøøмChampagne?6:37pm 08:37, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
