- Rationale indicates the subject is deceased, but our article doesn't seem to think so. I'd say this is a replaceable image. Brought here for wider scrutiny in case it's our article, not the image, which is in error. (The image is also missing a licensing tag, but that's probably easy enough to figure out later) (ESkog)(Talk) 02:52, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Unlikely self created work, the correct source without covering all information is http://www.britneyspears.com/2009/03/fan-photos-from-canada.php, two reasons: 1. No metadata and only web size image, 2. going to a concert and uploading only one small but good quality image is not common. Please provide a version with correct metadata and full resolution. 82.83.43.85 (talk) 04:05, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Non-free image used when free text is sufficient. There isn't discussion of this photo or the need for an exact appearance. Jay32183 (talk) 06:10, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I have to take dispute with this photo being listed for deletion. This historic photo, which cannot be re-created, is not being used for profit but rather, only being used for educational purposes in terms of a public policy matter substantially within the public interest of the people of Oakland and the Bay Area. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the substance of the article because the lakeside (Lake Merritt) greenfield parcel the photo depicts, and that parcel's historical significance from a land use perspective, are the object of discussion of a land development proposal mentioned in one of the article's subsections. I'll be adding a bit of context to the article text to complement existing material, but do you mean to assert that "free" text paints the same picture as the photo? I beg to differ. CriticalChris 07:09, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- What you've just said has absolutely nothing to do with WP:NFCC. Why is this image in this article. The rationale you've given is that this is the only photo, but you haven't actually explained the need for a photo. We don't need to see this image to understand the article, which means it fails WP:NFCC#1 and #8. Jay32183 (talk) 01:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- KEEP Sure the photo is needed. It helps to illustrate a public policy question over the historic land use of the gardens parcel which is currently on the chopping block before the Oakland Planning Commission. It helps depict the age and contrasts the historic condition of the gardens with their current state. CriticalChris 09:56, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete, image replaceable by text and in any case not essential to readers' understanding, failing WP:NFCC#1 and #8. Stifle (talk) 10:31, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- SUGGESTION I think that the easiest--if not the only--way to resolve this matter, is to have a separate section created in the article for extra historic photos with captions. Is that doable? While the current layout of historic photos is good overall (particularly the key system one), perhaps a compromise for such can help make the page even more effective for those who are concerned for the garden--according to Chris' text. Although if the old garden pics may not be a reflection of the text about it as a whole (saying that in a subjunctive manner), I feel that they are still interesting enough to include somewhere within. dlikuski 2:45, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- That would still violate the non-free content criteria. The historic photo claim can only be made when the photo itself is the subject of discussion. Sometimes the only way to solve an image issue is to delete the image. WP:NFCC is itself a compromise. In general, avoid non-free content. Jay32183 (talk) 06:41, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Image usage fails WP:NFC guideline. Use of "[a]n album cover as part of a discography" is explicitly disallowed. Since this is the only use of the image, it should be deleted. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:55, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - despite the use of 'discography' in the article's title, please actually look at the article- it's not a table/list, it's all of the albums related to the game series discussed in a single article just as fully as they would be if they were in their own articles. And since no one has any objections to using the album cover in an article discussing one album, why should there be a problem using that same cover in an article that discusses several albums? --PresN 21:41, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, this is the only non-free image used in the article so the usual WP:NFCC#3a argument doesn't apply. Stifle (talk) 10:32, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
