- File:Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King wedding day, 1953.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Informant16 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Fails WP:NFCC#8, an image of their wedding is not necessary to the article. January (talk) 00:04, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- Keep. The image of the marriage that initially triggered her prominence and would ultimately lead to her becoming the torch bearer after the man she married was assassinated for the rest of her life is not "necessary" for her article? Alright then. Informant16 —Preceding undated comment added 00:22, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- The reader does not need to see a picture of their wedding to understand the significance of their marriage. January (talk) 00:33, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- Nor does the reader need to see the portraits of presidents of their articles to understand the importance of their presidency. And if no picture is needed to understand "the significance of their marriage", then why even have that for anybody? Why is it on Gerald Ford, President Reagan and Mrs. Reagan's articles? There is no free alternative to the image and there probably is never going to be one. That marriage, as you agreed with me judging by your wording, is significant. And I would say that it was a life changing event for both of the Kings, so why remove it? There's no free alternative, there's no free excuse. Informant16 —Preceding undated comment added 03:21, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- The other articles you cite as examples are using free images. I certainly wouldn't question using this image if it was free, but non-free images can only be used if "its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding" (WP:NFCC#8). I don't see how omission of this image would be detrimental to readers' understanding, the reader does not need to see a photograph of their wedding to understand that they got married. January (talk) 15:40, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Fails WP:NFCC#1 and 8 as there are plenty of free images of the subject taken at various points in her life (see Commons:Category:Coretta Scott King), also possibly 10c. January (talk) 00:11, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- Delete Sorry but there are many free images of Mrs King as January says. --Leoboudv (talk) 03:52, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

- Let's just delete everything. Whoever heard of images anyway. We can't have that on Wikipedia, no instead we have to remove everything. Informant16 —Preceding undated comment added 15:37, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- This could be kept if there was better discussion on its use. Two widows comforting each other is visually compelling and emotionally powerful. --Leoboudv (talk) 03:55, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- I think it also fails WP:NFCC#10a, the source given is a direct link to the image on Tumblr which doesn't tell us anything about the original source/copyright holder. January (talk) 15:40, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

- File:TeenAIDS-PeerCorps Organization Button Logo.pdf (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by BryantL90 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Fails WP:NFCC#3b. Tagged for reduction since October, but no attempts have been made to correct the policy violation. As a violation of WP:NFCC#3b, we can't keep this high-resolution copy. Stefan2 (talk) 13:46, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- Also fails 3a on account of there being another non-free logo in the article (File:TeenAIDS-PeerCorps website logo.png), both are claimed as "the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the entity in question". Either this one should be kept and rescaled and File:TeenAIDS-PeerCorps website logo.png deleted, or it should be deleted and the other one moved to the infobox.
