7" single used for the purpose of showing the user the "primary visual image" of the topic ? The rationale is incorrect, this is the alternate, and seeing an image of a single is hardly going to add anything to reader's understanding of the topic. image that is just a cropped version of the other non-free image in the article. This can be adequately replaced with the text "for release xxx the image was cropped to a square containing just the train" or something similar. This extra image fails WP:NFCC#1 #8 and #3a. copyrighted image of a single used purely for decoration. It is not cover art and the rationale is clearly incorrect. There is limited copyrighted here and, if we have to have an image, an editor could take a free image where the copyrighted items are de minimus. Peripitus (Talk) 11:00, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - this copyrighted image is used appropriately to identify the subject of the article, as per the fair use rationale. Since the label itself is copyrighted, a free image cannot be made. So this reason for deletion is not valid. However, a possible valid deletion reason might be that there are several images for this single in the article (for various jurisdictions), which may be excessive. One or maybe two should be sufficient. That said, it is not clear that this is the image that should be deleted in that case, although personally I think it is the least necessary. Looking at this again, the 3rd image used in the article isn't a 3rd jurisdiction, but a different (live) single release of the song. So this would mean that 2 images are being used for the original single release, one for UK and one for Australia, which is less problematic than I thought earlier, but still may be one more than necessary.
