- File:Dosojin1.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- It says that the uploader, i.e. Nethexe (talk · contribs), is the copyright holder, but it also says that Sandor Kiss (talk · contribs) has released it to the public domain. Not sure what this mean. Nethexe (talk · contribs) and Sandor Kiss (talk · contribs) can't both be the copyright holder. Stefan2 (talk) 13:58, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- The uploader seems to have created a separate discussion about the image at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2013 April 24#File:Dosojin1.jpg. Note that there is no freedom of panorama in Japan, so we additionally need permission from Nándor Wagner. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:06, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: File:Chris Burkard at the Unveiling Ceremony picture by Samo Vidic.jpg deleted as F1: redundant file. File:Chris Burkard at the Unveiling Ceremony © Samo Vidic.jpg is now tagged for fair use, so I have nominated it for deletion as a F7 candidate. Dianna (talk) 13:39, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- I can't find an OGL version of this image on Google Image search. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:10, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I uploaded the file. It came from a Ministry of Justice publication which would mean it is OGL. The police use the picture on their web sites too so I'm guessing it's kosher. Do I need to chase down the publication?Ianftwilson (talk) 19:51, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Without any information on where it comes from, there is no way to verify your claim that it is available under the OGL. A proper source is required. --Stefan2 (talk) 20:24, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Unclear if the uploader knows what "own work" means. The uploader uploads anything as own work, like logos and obvious copyright violations. Additionally no EXIF and web resolution. Stefan2 (talk) 14:15, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Convert to fairuse we have an article on the subject Hidy and Howdy -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 01:59, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Fair use. 117Avenue (talk) 05:31, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Restore image the file on commons is up for deletion. As a fair use file, it cannot reside on commons. Deleting the image just because a file is on commons is wrong. You could just delete all fairuse images that way, by uploading them to commons, deleting them here, and then deleting them from commons as a copyright violation. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 04:15, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I see that the image was deleted per WP:CSD#F8, but the documentation says that files only can be deleted as F8 provided that "The image's license and source status is beyond reasonable doubt, and the license is undoubtedly accepted at Commons". I fail to see why this would be the case here. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:59, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Reopened after this ·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 09:20, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment someone uploaded a duplicate File:Hidy and Howdy.jpg after this was deleted. Since it's a later file missing the original upload, it should probably be deleted as a duplicate, since it's a 2013 file, while the one under discussion here is a 2007 file. Though the file description page can be histmerged together, to use the new file's FUR, with attribution for the FUR's creator. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 09:09, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Agreed. 117Avenue (talk) 22:17, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: This image is currently tagged as non-free. If there is a dispute with the rationale, please tag the image with {{dfu}} or list it at WP:Non-free content review. AnomieBOT⚡ 23:02, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
