  • Per c:COM:LL. The linked page mentions GFDL, but has a low-resolution copy with a "Last-Modified" HTTP header suggesting that the file was uploaded in 2011. However, there is a higher resolution copy here with a "Last-Modified" header reporting 2008. Stefan2 (talk) 14:50, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sculpture of unknown date in Cambodia - no Freedom of Panorama in Cambodia. Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:52, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How do i prove it is ok? Strange actually, because the info is just the same as i did with all the othersWikirictor (talk) 07:28, 14 November 2014 (UTC).[reply]

You have to prove that the sculpture was erected before 1923 or that the sculptor died before 1954. It currently doesn't say who the sculptor was, when he died or when the sculpture was erected. --Stefan2 (talk) 13:36, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is certain, that the sculpture was erected after 1923. Well then - remove it.Wikirictor (talk) 14:15, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • This file was deleted in June for having no source, despite the source being present on the image. In discussion with Stefan2 who tagged it for deletion (see user talk:Stefan2#File:Huygens landing site.jpg it seems that the copyright status of this image is not trivially easy to determine.
The image is hosted on the European Space Agency website at [1]. Clicking on the image there leads to the image in their library [2] where it is presented with details inlcuding the statement: "Copyright ESA/NASA/JPL/University of Arizona".
Stefan's knowledge is that ESA images are not automatically free, NASA ones are, JPL images hosted on their website are apparently free ({{attribution}}) but images not hosted there are unclear. University of Arizona are presumably not automatically free, but don't explicitly say this.
The photograph itself was taken by the unmanned Cassini orbiter in January 2005 so presumably will not have a single human author as such. Our article on the orbiter lists it as a joint project of "NASA-ESA-ASI". Another image taken by Cassini, File:Saturn's North Polar Hexagon.jpg, is hosted on Commons as a public domain image from NASA. Thryduulf (talk) 22:47, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • One could argue that the author is the person who operated the spacecraft at that time (a person sitting in front of a computer somewhere on Earth?), or that the author are people who specified how the spacecraft should operate. In the former case, the copyright status would depend on for whom that person worked, and there might be more than one author.
One could argue that there is nothing creative made by humans in the picture and that everything creative was made by a machine, in which case we have {{PD-animal}}, but I am not sure if it would be safe to make that assumption.
In the European Union, there is a 50-year related right for film recordings, with the only requirement being that the film must have a "producer". There does not need to be any creativity involved, and the only person who has to be a human is the "producer". I don't know if this spacecraft takes still images or if it records films, or whether the film right applies to still images taken from films. This right does not exist in the United States, but could be of concern for Commons. --Stefan2 (talk) 23:18, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
