Keep(changed to delete, see below): Quite Turkish. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 15:33, 4 July 2014 (UTC)- Which would be a good reason to keep this redirect in 1774. Or may be it would not even then, given that (according to the article) it was "Qirim", as it is now in Crimean Tatar. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 19:16, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- I don't thing Q is used in Turkish orthography. On the other hand, the Latin-based Turkish alphabet didn't exist then, so "Kırım" never really was a historic name of the Crimea, so I modify my vote to delete. (Forgot to sign. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad))
- As I gather, it was transliterated as "Qirim" back then. Probably the naming section of Crimean Khanate should be fixed to state the nature of Latin title less ambiguously. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 20:02, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- No, there was no Turkish Latin alphabet at all then. "Qırım" is Crimean Tatar, which uses a modified Turkish alphabet. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 20:07, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

Russia Today (Information Agency)
[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.

- Russia Today (Information Agency) → Rossiya Segodnya (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Delete this redirect. The redirection makes no sense, and are probably created to cause confusion between Rossiya Segodnya and the TV channel RT, which was known as Russia Today prior to its rebranding in 2009. Erlbaeko (talk) 09:42, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Delete: combination of capitalization issues and rather uncommon "information agency" instead of "news agency" wording makes this title implausible. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 09:55, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

Russia Today
[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was keep. --BDD (talk) 17:12, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- Russia Today → RT (TV network) (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
This page suffered from copy-paste page move attempt. The title is a previous name of RT TV network, which is probably still mostly known by this name. There is also Rossiya Segodnya news agency, whose name is translated as "Russia Today" from Russian, and Russian Federation Today. All three articles contain disambiguation hatnotes pointing to each other. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 08:48, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Keep (redirect to RT (TV network)): this title has obvious primary topic: only Russia Today is known under this title, while both Russian Federation Today and Rossiya Segodnya are only related. I would also propose to change hatnote for RT (TV network) to:
Markup | Renders as |
---|---|
{{subst:Redirect6/sandbox|Russia Today|news agency|Rossiya Segodnya}} |
|
- Which would be enough of disambiguation. Alternative option would be to speedy delete this redirect and move Russia Today (disambiguation) here. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 09:03, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Keep: Russia Today as a disambiguation page to explain the alternative uses of the term "Russia Today". Imo the page Russia Today (disambiguation) may be deleted, but this type of redirect is used to indicate any intentional links to the disambiguation page, to distinguish them from accidental or erroneous incoming links that should be disambiguated to the appropriate article. Ref. WP:DABNAME. If a page incorrectly links to "Russia Today", but means the TV network RT, it should be corrected to use the new name (they changed name in 2009) like this RT (TV network) or like this RT. See Help:Disambiguation for correct use of disambiguation pages. Erlbaeko (talk) 10:58, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- This page can't stay as DAB: it should either be turned back to redirect or deleted with consequential move of Russia Today (disambiguation) to this location. Right now it qualifies for WP:CSD#G6. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 12:02, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- I believe you got me wrong. I mostly changed the redirection to a disambiguation page to clarify that RT and Rossiya Segodnya are two separate companies, and also to "force" users to use the correct name, since I have noticed that some users deliberately use the old name. Erlbaeko (talk) 13:48, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- I get it. Although I don't really think this is indeed needed, my main problem is with the way you did it – you should have deleted redirect and then moved the disambiguation page. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 13:58, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, sorry if I didn't follow a rule. I am not familiar with every policy. Erlbaeko (talk) 14:40, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

- Revert to redirect This should not be a disambiguation, because the person who converted it failed to fix the incoming links problem, and left the edit history at Russia Today (disambiguation), not properly attributing previous editors. Erlbaeko should have initiated a move request at talk:Russia Today (disambiguation) to deal with their contention that "Russia Today" has no primary topic. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:44, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, I have reverted it to redirect while the topic is under discussion. Erlbaeko (talk) 08:36, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Work, Work
[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was retarget to Work Bitch (where Work Work redirects). --BDD (talk) 17:04, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- Work, Work → Chasing Lights (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
I guess that "Work, Work" is not the official title for Work (The Saturdays song) which is currently redirected to Chasing Lights. j3j3j3...pfH0wHz 03:28, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Disambiguate there's also Work Work, Work Work (N-Dubz song), Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep) -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:43, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Just focus "only" on "Work, Work" unless if you have a clear basis for it. j3j3j3...pfH0wHz 11:45, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

- Retarget to Work Work and Disambiguate there. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 09:43, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Is "Work, Work" (with a comma) a specific alternate title for a Britney Spears song? j3j3j3...pfH0wHz 11:45, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

- ''(ONe)'' → One (The Panic Channel album) (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
The supposedly album title of this article is (ONe) then this was moved to ''(ONe)'' (with its italic format two apostrophes on each sides) because this was unable to italicize the title. Then I made my request to move back to (ONe) but this was decided to move to One (The Panic Channel album) instead. Now I am considering this to delete because most people will unable to search that term. j3j3j3...pfH0wHz 03:09, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Disambiguate retarget to the disambiguation page one (disambiguation) ( "1 (disambiguation)" ) -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:46, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Do you have a basis to disambiguate/retarget it? Does anyone will find ''(ONe)'' (in an apostrophe, not a quote) on a search box? Review my previous request. Check this history of (ONe) right here. j3j3j3...pfH0wHz 11:43, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- retarget to one (disambiguation) per anon.--Lenticel (talk) 05:56, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

All international sports events held in Sao Paulo
[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was keep, refining target to #International sports events. As the latter entry was merged there, its history needs to be preserved in all but extreme circumstances. The first could be deleted, but I believe bots create redirects from existing names minus the diacritics, so it may just get recreated. Given the lack of evidence that these redirects could be misleading or otherwise harmful, they stay. --BDD (talk) 16:57, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

Not covered. TheChampionMan1234 01:01, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Actually it is, at São Paulo#International sports events . The Whispering Wind (talk) 17:05, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Delete WP:REDLINK -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:44, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Comment WP:REDLINK is not applicable here because if an article is considered appropriate then the former article can simply be restored. The Whispering Wind (talk) 17:05, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. It's also a possible redirect for a future "Sports in Sao Paulo" in the future. --Lenticel (talk) 05:57, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
Delete as misleading and/or per WP:SURPRISE. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 19:18, 4 July 2014 (UTC)- Delete All international sports events held in Sao Paulo as misleading and/or per WP:SURPRISE, move All international sports events held in São Paulo to Sports in São Paulo and refine it to São Paulo#International sports events, so that attribution would be preserved under title that makes sense. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 00:16, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- Refine target to São Paulo#International sports events where the content of this former article was merged. Harmless redirect and deletion would break attribution and breach our CC licence. The Whispering Wind (talk) 16:50, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- All international sports events held in Sao Paulo never was an article. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk•track) 00:16, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
