- Willard Van Ormand Quine → Willard Van Orman Quine (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
It is indeed an implausible typo, but according to User:GB fan's special:diff/808244704 I can't do SD, so I guess I should start RfD. -- SzMithrandir ❈ Ered Luin ❈ 23:51, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- It appears that some publications do use Ormand. [1]], [2], [3], [4]. With this and others it does not look like an implausible redirect. ~ GB fan 01:05, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Keep, per GB fan. TLS also. (WP:BEFORE) ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 08:59, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Oh well, maybe it's a common typo, or Quine's mother's maiden name has been unclear for quite a while? Whatever, I guess this is end of discussion (unless the sources given above are deemed trivial); I guess an admin closes the discussion? Let me know if I should do it. -- SzMithrandir ❈ Ered Luin ❈ 16:09, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

- POTUSes → List of Presidents of the United States (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
I created this redirect. I'm not sure whether it is plausible though. --Nevé–selbert 21:04, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Keep term has been used recently on news articles: [5] [6] although a writer at The Guardian did question the term [7] Should be useful. Term has been around for at least several years now. [8] AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:48, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Keep I recall seeing this term in certain sources myself. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 23:37, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Delete Whilst we all know that "Redirects are cheap", they do actually need to be useful. Too many unhelpful Search Wikipedia returns (and there are an awful lot for POTUS*) just makes the user less able to quickly find what they're looking for. This is one of them. With a daily hit average of zero since creation, and just 123 hits this year of which 41 have been since this RfD was posted - it's probable the rest just wasted their time following a link that took them to a List, not an Article that they probably didn't know they would be taken to. It should be observed that POTUS already contains a 'See also' hatnote to List of Presidents of the United States (400,000 hits this year). So I think this redirect just adds an unnecessary step and, most importantly, clogs up the Search Wikipedia drop down of genuine results (Point 1 in WP:RFD#DELETE). As a made up plural of an acronym that nobody apparently uses, it should go. Nick Moyes (talk) 13:25, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
- Keep as this term has been used in media. feminist 15:04, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

- Simon Cowbell → Simon Cowell (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
This looks like another autocorrect redirect. Not sure whether this is plausible in other circumstances. --Nevé–selbert 21:03, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Comment. This redirect has existed for almost a decade, so I can't see it being eligible for WP:G10. Steel1943 (talk) 22:28, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Delete sounds more like a joke nickname than an earnest autocorrect. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:32, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Delete and Comment. I agree that WP:G10 only applies to speedy deletes, not consensus discussions. No pages other than a host of current RFD alerts link to the Simon Cowbell page. I construe this redirect title to be a mildly disparaging and intentional mispelling that has long existed here (but would never be one accidentally mis-typed because 'B' is nowhere near the other letters of Cowell's name on a QWERTY keyboard). It has no significant page history, doesn't aid searching, and I cannot match it to any rationale to WP:RFD#KEEP, but its probably derogatory intent does fit it more closely to criterion 3 in WP:RFD#DELETE, so it should go. Disambiguate? From a purely mathematical perspective, these redirects can potentially refer to Mac OS X 10.1. --Nevé–selbert 20:54, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Keep as primary topic. Version numbers don't follow decimal math. (e.g. version 10.10.2) If you are concerned people might do so, you could add a hatnote. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:44, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

- According to the guideline, CamelCase redirects were phased out prior to 2005.--Nevé–selbert 00:18, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Your link isn't a guideline, it's an information page discussing Wikipedia's history with CamelCase. In no way does that page make any indication that CamelCase redirects were to be deleted after they were "phased out". So that's not a reason to delete a redirect, and I fail to comprehend why this one is being singled out. -- Tavix (talk) 02:48, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- OK, I misunderstood the information page. Sorry for the inconvenience. I withdraw my nomination .--Nevé–selbert 17:38, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

Therefore consider the deletion only of either really harmful redirects or of very recent ones.

There is no reason this would be a viable search term when all it does is add "list of" to the target title. Dysklyver 16:59, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Retarget to Story of the Alps: My Annette#Episode list. Either way, this redirect is a {{R from merge}}, so I oppose deletion. Steel1943 (talk) 17:14, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

old unused redirect from the WP:WikiProject/ space. Pages should not stay in the WP:WikiProject/ space once the project has been established. Otherwise they still look like draft projects. Dysklyver 16:51, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
the same rationale applies to:
- Wikipedia:WikiProject/Vietnam Province and City
- Wikipedia:WikiProject/U.S. Roads/U.S. Routes/All-time master list
- Wikipedia:WikiProject/U.S. Roads/U.S. Routes/Completion list
- Wikipedia:WikiProject/U.S. Roads/U.S. Routes/Completion list/1-101
- But I do not know how to include them in a joint nomination. Dysklyver 16:54, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- @A Den Jentyl Ettien Avel Dysklyver: I've tagged three of the redirects you mentioned with {{Db-subpage}} since one of the parent pages in their chain, Wikipedia:WikiProject/U.S. Roads, does not exist. However, for Wikipedia:WikiProject/Vietnam Province and City, I would say your rationale does not apply since it targets a page in the "User:" namespace. Steel1943 (talk) 17:12, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Steel1943: - thanks, but to clarify, the correct redirect to that userspace is, Wikipedia:WikiProject Vietnam Province and City which makes Wikipedia:WikiProject/Vietnam Province and City a redundant redirect from the WP:WikiProject/ space. Dysklyver 19:19, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Comment I've deleted the U.S. Roads redirects under G8, no opinion on the Vietnam one. ansh666 20:19, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
Move User:Huutu/WikiProject Vietnam Province and City back to Wikipedia:WikiProject Vietnam Province and City without leaving a redirect, and retarget Wikipedia:WikiProject/Vietnam Province and City back there. I have done a lot of namespace cleanup myself, but without consensus to do so, moving a page WP:BOLDly from the "Wikipedia:" namespace to the "User:" namespace, especially if the page is supposed to be a WikiProject, can sometimes be considered problematic; this is one such case. Better option may be to perform the move I suggested, then nominate the target page for WP:MFD. Then, the redirect could be deleted by default per speedy deletion criterion G8. Steel1943 (talk) 21:41, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- This has now been done, but I struck out the statement since I have "voted" for the nominated redirect below. Steel1943 (talk) 22:24, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- Seems fine to me. Dysklyver 21:47, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- I can't do that type of move, so will let someone else do this, and I just remembered why I moved this in the first place, it is a duplicate of Wikipedia:WikiProject Vietnam created by an editor with only 3 total edits. Dysklyver 21:53, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- @A Den Jentyl Ettien Avel Dysklyver: I'll do it. Reverting the moves now... Steel1943 (talk) 22:00, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- @A Den Jentyl Ettien Avel Dysklyver: Turns out that I cannot delete the leftover redirect User:Huutu/WikiProject Vietnam Province and City since I am not an administrator. (I had to retain a page that needed to be removed, and that was the one.) Is it okay if I tag that redirect with {{Db-g7}} (speedy deletion criterion G7) and refer the administrator to this discussion? Steel1943 (talk) 22:07, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
- I went for tagging it myself to avoid confusion since it said I created the page, I linked back here like you suggested. Dysklyver 22:12, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) Delete Wikipedia:WikiProject/Vietnam Province and City per nom. The target page is not a subpage if Wikipedia:WikiProject, so best to not make it look like it.
