Thamarih[edit]

  • Supporting evidence:

There is a strong pattern of sockpuppetry behavior. In addition to the permanently blocked accounts above:

This last draws a connection, not clearly obvious at the time, between the Curandero101 suite of sockpuppets and the Thamarih suite. The extensive anti-Baha'i invective (down to references to "Haifan Bahaim") and personal attacks of most of these, as well as the shared interest in Ayahuasca to shoehorn in the "Fatimiyah Sufi Order" draws a bead between them.

Additional note - I understand that the list above is a lot to sort through (particularly given the mix of active and inactive accounts), but is it possible to get information on any technical connection between Ahwa85 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) and Mistsister303 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki)? In addition to the similarities in their usernames and writing styles as well as a tendency for filling out/correcting their comments in multiple edits--see [8] and [9]--the contributions of the two users never overlap in terms of editing time. For example, on June 18 Mistsister was active from 11:15 to 11:31, Ahwa was active from 12:08 to 12:33, and then Mistsister was active again from 13:01 to 16:45 (all times GMT +9). Neither account has edited in the 20+ hours since Mistsister's last edit here, which mistakenly assumes that they are blocked. --jonny-mt 04:46, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Confirmed that Thamarih, Ahwa85, and SecretChiefs3 are the same person.
  •  Possible that this person is Mistsister303. Same city, different ISP, so it could be work/home or it could be two different people, depending on the timing and such.
  • Sunchief is Red X Unrelated
  • However it certainly seems likely that there is coordination between the three (or two) of them. Thatcher 23:09, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thank you very much for the results--they're a bit surprising given the different editing characteristics of the accounts, but when you consider the possibility that Thamarih and Ahwa might be roommates it actually makes a good bit of sense. I also agree with your suggestion that Mistsister could be a work/home account, and the times in which the accounts were active support someone coming home in the middle of the day to edit. So I'll block Mistsister as a sockpuppet and give Ahwa a single warning.
As far as User:Sunchief goes, the edits from that account were similar enough to those of User:Thamarih that three uninvolved admins agreed with my initial call when declining unblocks ([10] [11] [12]). Even given that the two accounts are not related in technical terms, WP:MEAT comes squarely into play, and so that particular account is staying blocked.
I think that should take care of it for the time being--thank you for your help! --jonny-mt 01:13, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
