Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Amazingsummer (talk · contribs) might also be a sockpuppet, as well as the IPs 116.48.104.119 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), 219.77.211.24 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), and 219.73.13.92 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). All users have the behavioral pattern: They add/replace links to videos from their personal YouTube channel before removing them again or be reverted. 米記123 and Amazingsummer have already been blocked for this, but I'd like to have all of the above checked for sockpuppetry.   • @Vanjagenije: As you requested further info; this user has the exact same behaviour as all other socks of this Hong Kong-based LTA: Adding and then instantly remvoing external links to their personal YouTube videos in rapid succession on a plethora of projects. Lego Racers (video game), for example, is a frequent victim of this. This sock is also active on many other Wikimedia projects, particularly zhwiki, which also applied to all the other socks. A global lock will again be required here. Additionally, this sock in particular is an in-name successor of previous sock Summer-Holiday1. As this is rather obvious, I had hoped that it would suffice to note the DUCKery. Also pinging @TheSandDoctor, who filed locks requests for prior socks.   2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.

Same behaviour of adding, then deleting links to personal YouTube videos. Also targets other Hong Kong articles, as previous socks did. User is also active on other projects (again on the forefront, zhwiki), so a global lock is required. I also added a couple IPs that have been doing the same on the articles of the Lego Racers video game series, which is frequently affected.   • Unfortunately, because of the nature of the underlying data (very common technical configuration on a range shared by many unrelated users), a sleeper check for this sockmaster is generally not going to be very fruitful.   • CU  Clerk declined - these accounts are already globally locked, and per Mz7's comments here, a sleeper check is unlikely to be useful. I'll leave this open for evaluation of the IPs, but I have to say that I question the utility of blocking a huge set of ranges for edits that are immediately self-reverted.
