Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

This came to my attention from this AfD for the page Lynn Rogoff.

That page was created by Amerikids, an account which was indeffed in 2016 as that is the name of a film company, namely the company that Rogoff is affiliated with.

September1947 was created in 2017 to make 2 edits to Rogoff's page, one of which was to remove a COI tag. Per her IMDb, September 1947 is Rogoff's birth month and year.

The most current of the 3 accounts is GreenKids, which is an SPA that has been recently editing Rogoff's page, as well as shoehorning in links to the Amerikids website into other articles (diff). "Green Kids" also happens to be the name of one of the Amerikids company's projects. Curbon7 (talk) 01:47, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]

  • Amerikids was uw-softerblock'd, i.e. we told them to pick a new username, which they apparently did (September1947), which made a couple of edits, then they switched to GreenKids. There's no editing overlap, so technically not socking. Also, Special:Diff/1045682468 seems like a plausible explanation and COI disclosure. I'm not seeing anything that violates WP:ILLEGIT, so closing with no action. -- RoySmith (talk) 20:41, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
