Now this IP returns to the same articles Mark edited, making the same kind of edits. In particular, here he can be found changing an ethnicity in that article to Akan. This can only be him. After doing a rather thorough behavioural check and seeing some common traits, I ran Mesling (talk · contribs) against the last blocked account Sintinon (talk · contribs). The accounts are Likely the same person. Mesling is editing from the same ISP and city as MarkMysoe (talk · contribs) (and shares the same UA as Sintinon). Regarding the behavioural similarities, it appears they are attempting to switch up their edit summaries in order to help avoid detection, however Mesling shares some odd phrasing with other socks. In order to avoid WP:BEANS I can go into more detail offline if the closing clerk/admin would like additional evidence when evaluating the findings. The IP editor, repeating exactly Thesunshinesate's edit warring, and then posting the above message, is a WP:DUCK. I have blocked the IP address and Thesunshinesate for a week. Bantekas is already blocked as a sockpuppet of MarkMysoe. (See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MarkMysoe/Archive.) Comparing the editing history of Thesunshinesate with that of various MarkMysoe sockpuppets, there is enough similarity to make me highly suspicious, so very likely Thesunshinesate should be blocked indefinitely. I am asking for a CheckUser to see whether there is any technical evidence to support the behavioural evidence. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 08:27, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately the technical evidence is Inconclusive as the geolocation is off, though it should be noted that Thesunshinesate (talk · contribs) is a technical match to TruHeir (talk · contribs). I also see a number of similarities in the edits of Thesunshinesate and other MarkMysoe socks, so much so that I have a hard time believing the accounts are not connected. As I noted at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MarkMysoe/Archive, I think this sockmaster is deliberately attempting to mix up their editing style but they have some tells that are unique.
