LanbrinsonWorks edits in a very similar space to MarkMysoe, and their edits have never overlapped. On August 11, LW made an edit to Roc Nation. After Drmies reverted it, MM restored it, claiming "I can say that revision done by LanbrinsonWorks is Correct and Acceptable as I'm Affiliated with Roc Nation". Note also the idiosyncratic use of capitalization under both accounts. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 15:43, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MarkMysoe was indefinitely blocked at the start of January after going on a crusade, changing mentions of Ghana to mentions of a fictional state of Akan. The discussion can be found here. Now this IP returns to the same articles Mark edited, making the same kind of edits. In particular, here he can be found changing an ethnicity in that article to Akan. This can only be him. This IP has been editing as him since May; it's obviously static and so I'd suggest a fairly lengthy block. Basalisk inspect damageberate 08:19, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of the same statistic tables to the biographies of Ghanian footballers like MarkMysoe's last IP sock 86.5.61.168. Sample diffs:[1] and [2]. Oleola (talk) 14:19, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I spotted EnzoRivos sockpuppet on wikipedia commons (he is also blocked there), but I see that he is socking and evading block also there. EnzoRivos uploaded on commons the same files with exactly the same description like MarkMysoe uploaded on English wikipedia before he got blocked, for example: [3] and [4]. If you look at the type of uploaded images (Ghanian people, Ghanian logos or AC Milan footballers) and exactly the same style of writing descriptions: MarkMysoe uploads[5][6] EnzoRivos[7], you will be sure that it's he.--Oleola (talk) 01:36, 21 May 2013 (UTC) Oleola (talk) 01:36, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Another sockpuppet is Boranel, he added images to the articles on English wikipedia shortly after EnzoRivos uploaded them on commons, like [8] there[9].--Oleola (talk) 01:51, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looks to be a case of WP:DUCK to me - based on strong similarities in edit summaries and editing behavior - but thought I would bring to SPI in spirit of AGF. GiantSnowman 19:53, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The same target of edits related to Ghana, Akan people and footballers. Strong similarities in edit summaries and editing behavior, also blanking talk page without archiving. Again he uploaded photos (probaly unfree from social media websites) on Wikipedia Commons (where he is albo blocked for copyright violations) using two accounts Caspel and Volbs and then inputted them in a short time into English Wikipedia using another account - Sintinon[10][11]. Adding this on behalf of Struway2 (talk · contribs), who raised a legitimate concern on my talk page, please see his comments/evidence there. I am extremely familiar with MarkMysoe's history and style; having looked at Mesling's history, there are some elements which scream DUCK and some elements which don't fit at all. On this basis I'm not as convinced as Struway2, however his concerns are entirely in good faith and I think this needs to be checked once and for all so we can all move on. GiantSnowman 07:45, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please, I confirm that I'am in no way a sockpuppet of MarkMysoe. Thanks for notifying GiantSnowman (talk · contribs). Mesling (talk) 07:55, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • After doing a rather thorough behavioural check and seeing some common traits, I ran Mesling (talk · contribs) against the last blocked account Sintinon (talk · contribs). The accounts are  Likely the same person. Mesling is editing from the same ISP and city as MarkMysoe (talk · contribs) (and shares the same UA as Sintinon). Regarding the behavioural similarities, it appears they are attempting to switch up their edit summaries in order to help avoid detection, however Mesling shares some odd phrasing with other socks. In order to avoid WP:BEANS I can go into more detail offline if the closing clerk/admin would like additional evidence when evaluating the findings. It's unfortunate that Basalisk isn't around lately, they seem to have a good read on this sockmaster.--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:42, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've looked at some of the behavioral evidence of the account and the past accounts and noticed some similarities as well. This combined with Ponyo's analysis and the technical evidence helps me reach the conclusion that it's more than likely Mesling is related to MarkMysoe. Just because you got busted for edit warring now you are trying to get me blocked. Make all the allegations you want to. 150.108.30.221 (talk) 18:33, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New user making edits related to Ghana and the Akan people. Here are edits Opelers made on articles created by MarkMysoe [12][13]

These are diffs on articles that overlap with MarkMysoe's edit history: [14][15][16][17]

Here's a diff Opelers made that overlaps with edits by user:Basalisk user:Bantekas, a confirmed sock of MarkMysoe: [18][19]

Given the narrow range of subjects and a continuing habit of copyright violation [20] this seems like more than a coincidence. Blackguard 20:00, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This was absolutely my mistake, and I have struck the allegation; I was indeed confusing Basalisk with Bantekas. Blackguard 20:33, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A CU is pointless because the accounts are  Stale. The evidence is almost non-existent (not a single diff). The alleged puppet hasn't edited in three months. Closing.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:00, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
