Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

A few thing stand out here. Perhaps most importantly this is an editor with the same exclusive interest in a fairly niche subject, namely football in Myanmar, who registered their account shortly after Modernorcker4 was blocked. The first two articles they edited were Myanmar national football team, Modernrocker's second most frequently edited article, and Sann Satt Naing, an article created by Modernrocker. Editing to Sann Satt Naing is also what got Modernrocker blocked. They've also taken to updating the week-by-week results of the 2017 Myanmar National League (diff). Prior to their block, Modernrocker was the only editor making these updates since last April (sample diff). Sir Sputnik (talk) 01:40, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to add a quick explanation regarding the edits to Sann Satt Naing, so it doesn't look like I'm making up evidence. When I said that article was the second article Zayarhtun304 edited, I'm referring to the version of the article created by Modernrocker, which was deleted a few days after Zayarhtun edited it. The article has since been recreated, because Naing now meets WP:NFOOTBALL. Sir Sputnik (talk) 19:04, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"New" account that linked to Myanmar football, still same exact interest on List of Myanmar football transfers winter 2017. Sockmaster did later changed his behavior to add citation on the article (when edit as an evaded sock), but his previous block was due to adding unsourced material to wikipedia, which this edit by the new user match this. Other more environmental evidence were the same interest in Myanmar national under-23 football team and Myanmar National League, which may or may not a coincidence of the same interest. Similar behavior: add transfermarkt source again on draft (Diff:Special:diff/815486917 and Transfermarkt is not a reliable source) which master usually added on several articles, and add unsigned comment on his talk page which master usually did.   • It seems there is insufficient information to match the new user account to the sockmaster, there is a possibility that entirely new user that start to edit Myanmar football.   1. At least one diff is from the sockmaster (or an account already blocked as a confirmed sockpuppet of the sockmaster), showing the behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster.
  2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.
