Suspected sockpuppets

I have already blocked The Fake ID (talk · contribs). Talk:Jainism/GA1 (nominated by Rahuljain2307 (talk · contribs)) was closed as Suresh Elangovan (talk · contribs) was not a valid reviewer, and, very soon after, The Fake ID was created to review and quickly pass the article. While clearly a puppet, it is not completely clear who they are a puppet of. J Milburn (talk) 23:06, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims. I can confirm that I have no association with The Fake ID. Suresh Elangovan (talk) 11:12, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have a dynamic IP address. It changes everytime I connect to the internet. It is possible that someone from my locality got the same address as I have. I don't thoroughly understand how the IP addressing works, but I'll check with my ISP. From the time I joined Wikipedia, I have been working on the Jainism article to improve it to FA Quality. I would gain nothing by creating a sock-puppet. Rahuljain2307 (talk) 15:59, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Of Suresh's 728 edits (671 to article space), 423 have been to Jainism. Of Rahuljain's 1093 edits (596 to article space), 407 have been to the same article. See editor interaction results. That said, that can be explained by the two editors' obvious interest in the article. Also, there are some notable differences between the two editors. For example, Suresh seems to have almost no interest in talk pages, whereas Rahul does, particularly in inserting assessments in the headers. I don't see a sufficiently strong correlation between the two editors to justify a CU. Based on CU on Rahul and Fake ID and Rahul's denial, I would not trust what Rahul says. However, I don't see why that should spill over onto Suresh.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:27, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would like to say that I was unfamiliar with the policy of this page, and do not wish to accuse Suresh of anything. I do not believe that Suresh and Rahul are the same person. J Milburn (talk) 22:37, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
