A few more:

Evidence submitted by Acroterion [edit]

Aggressive and prolific POV warrior on racial issues with a particular focus on Eric Holder. Rangeblocks in place for the obvious IP ranges above, but has managed to register at least one new account. All but NathanForrest101 (talk · contribs) blocks, and he quacks loudly. Acroterion (talk) 20:25, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I don't care if they are a sock, a new account, or a self-aware computer, but edits like this (among others of same type) are unacceptable. I've blocked them indefinitely. TNXMan 20:49, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed: we've provided enough rope. Acroterion (talk) 21:00, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comments by other users [edit]
  • Among NathanForrest101's first edits, she/he dropped my Talk page to call me and User:MarnetteD "losers". Later, she/he added a personal attack against User:MarnetteD to her/his User page. User:MarnetteD and I were among the editors who reverted UVADawgs2010 and sock's numerous problem edits yesterday, including dozens of edits to Eric Holder and repeated vandalism of my User page. If NathanForrest101 is not a sock of UVADawgs2010, I can't think of any reason why she/he would choose me and User:MarnetteD as targets. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:50, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Since they have given you their school and possibly their name as part of their usernames, it might be worth a call to UGA to report the user in person. If they are using UGA computers to do the vandalism, they are probably breaking some college rule there. At least they would face some real world consequences. - NeutralhomerTalk • 06:58, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The one account is a play off of Nathan Bedford Forrest, first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. –MuZemike 07:04, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh...I was going on the hope there was a student named "Nathan Forrest" at UGA, but yeah, the above connection is probably more likely...sadly. OK, nevermind. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 07:19, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The choice of Nathan Bedford Forrest as a name sums it up. The choice of UGAdawgs as a username is an egregious smear on the university. One of the later IPs mentioned that the user was at work and was using proxies "to avoid punishment." It seems to me that an edit filter could be crafted for this one. Acroterion (talk) 11:27, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • To give some history, this all started with me giving UGAdawgs2010 a WP:3RR block, after edit warring with that account and 96.32.148.208 (talk · contribs), despite a previous block for edit warring. The user has a history of making, at best, inappropriate additions, to articles on US topics. After the block sock puppet accounts/IPs began appearing and it has steeply advanced from there over the last few days. CT Cooper · talk 18:46, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

information Administrator note Eric Holder, Slavery in the United States, and this SPI have been semi-protected amongst other pages. 216.169.110.192/27 and 109.200.6.0/25 have been rangeblocked for a good while. –MuZemike 00:54, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not willing to go checking all these IPs, but there were no sleepers on the ones that I looked at. --Deskana (talk) 21:00, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets [edit]

Evidence submitted by DD2K [edit]

It seems as soon as JahnTeller07 was blocked, Ikilled007 appeared on the Obama talk page to admonish the editors that were trying to prevent the disruption by JahnTeller07 and the listed anon ips. If you look at the contributions by Ikilled007 you can see during a similar disruption period in March of 2009 the term "whitewashing" was also being used, and sarcastic overacting, in an almost exact manner by Ikilled007(1,2,3,4) as JahnTeller07(1,2,3) and the anon ips have recently(1,2,3).

The reason I've asked for a CU on this case is because it seems as if the socks may be related to other SPI cases. One editor suggested that the user was a sock-puppet of Gaydenver, but I thought the locations of the IP and styles were more closely related to the South Bay SPI case. Please investigate. And then reprimand this guy for being so ignorant. I live in Sicily. I have only one wikipedia account. Easily verifiable. Ikilled007 (talk) 19:20, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Clerk endorsed - A CheckUser more familiar with the investigations previously conducted may be interested in a possible relationship. PeterSymonds (talk) 16:20, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Red X Unrelated - there is no technical relationship between Ikilled007 and those IPs, nor is there any technical relationship betweeen the JahnTeller07 and any of them. However:
 Confirmed that JahnTeller07 is also:
  1. UGAdawgs2010 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki)
  2. UGAdawgs2011 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki)
  3. UGAdawgs2012 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki)
  4. Ihateobama1989 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki)
I would recommend another checkuser look for older relationships, as suggested by PeterSymonds. --jpgordon::==( o ) 18:46, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator note I've updated/tagged Ihateobama1989 and JahnTeller07. If there's no connection to Ikilled007, this case would probably need to be merged to WP:Sockpuppet investigations/UGAdawgs2010. TNXMan 20:32, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First edit was to a talk page to re-open discussion of prior sock (JahnTeller07)'s trolling. Editing the same target pages. Very quick to understand what a "sock" is and demand a check user. Quack! SummerPhD (talk) 03:25, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea who this is! I knew what a sock is because I looked it up after someone said that I was being a sock. Grignard4120 P.S. I hope I did the requesting checkinguser thing correctly, if not can someone let me know how to request that someone check my internet signature? Grignard4120

Comments by other users [edit]
I mentioned this at ANI. This seems to be a WP:DUCK case, and (with this or other puppeteers messing with the main Obama page) something that needs quicker action than an SPI. This one is so obvious, it really doesn't need process. Thanks, - Wikidemon (talk) 03:32, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Banned user claims to be back on User_talk:UGAdawgs2010. Sure enough, Unicorn76's first edits were to various talk pages in support of previously controversial additions to those pages, such as this one. Is quite fond of defending FOX at Talk:Fox_News_Channel and is quacking quite a bit. Prior socks outlined their agendas: [1], [2], etc. Unicorn76 makes it clear as well. SummerPhD (talk) 01:22, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and it was nice of him to share the news as well. - SummerPhD (talk) 01:26, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've blocked as it's clearly a WP:DUCK case, but might be worth to check for sleepers. Snowolf How can I help? 18:27, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
