Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

  1. Paradisepark and Transparentfish both resurfaced at the same time after long absences, Paradisepark after 4 months of inactivity and Transparentfish after 2 years of inactivity.
  2. Both returned to overturn revision of a single article, Sophie Morgan, which was a poorly-written, rather negative BLP. Both had previously had quite extensive involvement in maintaining the predominantly negative status quo of the article.
  3. Behavioural evidence is seen in these examples:
    1. Insistence that her career as TV presenter etc is not mentioned, she is simply a "former reality tv contestant" (master) [1] (puppet) [2]
    2. Obsession with claiming that her family's wealth is somehow relevant (master) [3] [4] (puppet) [5]
    3. As is usual in sockpuppet incidents, the users share a "signature" trait: note that both master and puppet in the example above spell "relevant" incorrectly as "relevent". This isn't a one-off typo, they consistently misspell it [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]
    4. Despite references to the contrary, insistence that Morgan didn't complete a degree at university (master) [11] (puppet) [12].
    5. Both insist on including an irrelevant detail about her childhood which serves no purpose except to disparage the subject (master) [13] (puppet) [14]
    6. Paradisepark and Transparentfish operate in a "tag" system, with Transparentfish editing the article on 19-21 September, Paradisepark then taking over on the 23 September, Transparentfish returning 25 September, Paradisepark 26 September, and switching back to Transparentfish on 27 September. Neither have edited the article on the same day. This is an effort, I believe, to create the illusion of support for the editing by one of the other.
    7. Both editors have also edited the Kelly Knox article extensively. It is of note that Knox and Morgan are often pitched as rivals since their appearance on Britain's Mising Top Model. Their editing of the Knox article is in direct contrast to that at the Morgan article, presenting a positive "spin" wherever possible.
    8. After returning from their periods of inactivity, their editing has only been to the Sophie Morgan article or closely related pages which are connected to their work at Morgan's page.
