- Evidence
- Each of the accounts in question has only edited the Paul Frampton page.
- User User:JohnHarold signs a post as Paul Frampton: User_talk:96.2.245.30.
- Accounts were switched to remove COI and notability tags, and also after the user was warned about editing his own page excessively.
- Comments
- All of the accounts in question are being used to maintain a vanity page while attempting to give the illusion of a consensus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by A13ean (talk • contribs)
- The biography of Frampton's book Gauge Field Theories establishes that this Paul Frampton's middle name is “Howard”, supporting the notion that User:HowardFrampton, User:Pframpton, User:Paulhframpton, and User:Paulframpton are all accounts named for the subject of “Paul Frampton”, or for someone who is in turn named for him.
(As on the article talk page, I raise some question as to whether the editor(s) is/are the subject, or (an) admirer(s). Issues of abusive use of -puppets, of “NPOV” and of “notability” still arise, but care should be taken not to indict Frampton himself without sufficient cause.)—SlamDiego←T 03:52, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]- In the face of this piece of evidence (which, in fact, A13ean presented well before my comment), I feel compelled to withdraw my parenthetical concern above. —SlamDiego←T 04:05, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
- I dont see any discussions where the accounts have been used to convey, alter or create an illusions of consensus. What I see are multiple accounts from an inexperienced user that have edited at different times with a more likely scenario's of lost passwords or deliberate changes of names after biting of a new comer with a conflict of interest. The multiple accounts have been block with the exception of the most recent account to edit JohnHarold (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) Gnangarra 03:58, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
