The outreach department of the WikiProject Iceland is a centralised work area for project recruitment and member interaction efforts. The major programmes currently underway are a monthly project newsletter and a welcome message for new members of the project; further ideas are always welcome, of course!
Unfortunately renewable energy in Iceland failed its featured article candidature. You can still help improve the article, and help to get it up to FA standard!
Last month we welcomed three new members to WikiProject Iceland.
The Icelandic language article was the ACID article for last week. The article now includes sound samples and a text extract.
By default, we will add you to the spamlist to receive the current issue of the newsletter on your talk page when it comes out. If you would prefer not to receive it, you may remove yourself from the list.
If you are not a member of the project but would like a copy of the newsletter, for whatever reason, you may add you name to the list as well. It's very simple - if you're on the spamlist, you receive it and if you aren't, you don't.
Welcome to WikiProject Iceland! Thank you for signing up to the project! If you have not already done so, please fill out a brief description of your participation in the project on our members list. Looking for something to do? You can help us with any of the following tasks:
Assessment: please help to rate articles for quality and importance;
Expand stubs: expand articles in the stubs category;
Improve articles: help refine and improve articles which fall under WikiProject Iceland.
And, most importantly, have fun! Please remember to choose delivery options for our monthly newsletter if you would like to change the way you receive it.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to any experienced member of the project; we'll be happy to help you. We look forward to seeing you around!
