As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 5%. As of August 1, we are at 7.22%, with 356 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve is included on the stub article subpage.
Based on the members list, there are currently 247 members participating in WikiProject Professional wrestling.

Recent Professional Wrestling News

On July 18 at World Wrestling Entertainment's Money in the Bank pay-per-view:
- The Miz won the Raw Money in the Bank ladder match.
- Kane won the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match.
- Kane won the World Heavyweight Championship by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and defeating Rey Mysterio.
On July 19, Prince Devitt and Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Koji Kanemoto and El Samurai to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship for the second time as a team.
On July 21:
- It was reported that Ryan O'Reilly had signed a developmental contract with WWE.
- Dragon Gate USA announced that Dragon Kid had been injured.
On July 22:
- Platinum Championship Wrestling announced that Austin Creed had signed a developmental contract with WWE.
- It was reported that Beef Wellington had signed a developmental contract with WWE.
On July 23:
- Joe Lider won Desastre Total Ultraviolento's main championship by winning a five-way match against the defending champion Aeroboy, and Fly Star, Kaientai, Murder Angel, and Violento Jack.
- Blue Demon, Jr. defeated Oliver John to win the PWR Heavyweight Championship.
On July 24, Tasha Simone won the NWA World Women's Championship by defeating MsChif.
On July 27, Hamada and Taylor Wilde defeated Lacey Von Erich and Velvet Sky to win the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship. The match will air on the August 5 episode of Impact!.
On July 28:
- Dolph Ziggler won the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the SmackDown tapings, by defeating Kofi Kingston. The match will air on the August 6 episode of SmackDown.
- It was reported that Brian Button (Kris Logan/Brian Cage) had signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
On July 29, Tigers Mask defeated CIMA to retain the Dragon Gate Open the Brave Gate Championship, and win CIMA's Osaka Pro Wrestling Championship.
Scott Lost retired following his final match at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's seventh anniversary show on July 30.
On July 31 Shelton Benjamin defeated Ray González at the World Wrestling Council's La Revolución show to win the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship
