The railroad of the Manila and Southwestern Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad extending in a northeastwardly direction from Herman to Lunsford, Ark., a distance of 5.127 miles. The carrier wholly owns and uses 6.707 miles of all tracks, which are classified in the trackage table in Appendix 1.
- CORPORATE HISTORY
The carrier was incorporated March 28, 1904, under the general laws of the State of Arkansas for the stated purpose of constructing, operating, and maintaining a railroad in that State from Manila to Culberhouse, a distance of about 24 miles. The date of its organization was not determined.

The owned mileage of the carrier, extending from Herman to Lunsford, Ark., a distance of 5.127 miles, was all acquired by it through construction.
