This is an introductory course in chemistry designed for non-science majors. The course covers fundamental aspects of atoms, molecules, chemical bonding and reactions. Most of the material will be taught using the context of combustion, fires and explosions. Students will edit a Wikipedia article on a topic related to the class and will give a class presentation on the topic.
