Club Updates[edit]
- We're participating in The 50,000 Challenge! The aim is to make 50,000 article improvements and creations for the United States. In particular, Wikipedia Connection will be aiming to improve articles related to Ohio. Be sure to sign up if you're interested!
- Officer elections are set to take place at our workshop on February 22. As our President and Vice President are graduating this semester, there will be a big shift in officer roles. If you are interested in running for a position, please let Kevin know of your intent to run for a position. More details will be provided soon.
- On Thurs., February 9th (11:10-12:30), a global information class would like us to discuss and introduce editing Wikipedia to students (20-40 min). Students will have been assigned readings prior to the session, and will be asked to contribute topics for us to edit at our upcoming Art+Feminism Edit-a-thon. If you are interested in attending and/or speaking at this session, please let Kevin know.
- The Ohio Wikimedians User Group's homepage has been updated, and its first newsletter has gone out. Be sure to add yourself as a member if you are interested in Wikimedian outreach throughout Ohio!
