fact and reference checking[edit]

It occurs to me that if Communicat has been copying citations from other sources without checking them, maybe we should run a few handfuls through WP:FACT, in the hope that most or all of them check out. If they don't, then we probably have to mass-revert. If that sounds appropriate I can post a random sample and start checking some. My local library is ok but not great, so anything obscure will have to be checked by other editors unless I resort to interlibrary loan. 67.117.130.143 (talk) 01:35, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That was done for most of Communicat's actual and proposed edits during the various talk page discussions. They frequently contained inaccuracies and material that wasn't supported by the provided citation. Nick-D (talk) 06:43, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Note: no evidence to support claim above. Communicat (talk) 13:27, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Communicat, check Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II/Evidence#Communicat's sources don't always say what he says they say and Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II/Evidence#Communicat’s views are often not supported by his sources for extensive evidence of this. --Habap (talk) 14:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comments of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes[edit]

Could a clerk remove the comments of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? They aren't helpful, and the user is now sockblocked. 67.117.130.143 (talk) 18:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
