TFA blurb review

[edit]

Trials of Mana is a 1995 action role-playing game developed and published by Square for the Super Famicom. The third installment in the Mana series, it follows three heroes in a high fantasy world as they attempt to claim the Mana Sword. The game features three lengthy main plotlines, a choice of six main characters, and a wide range of character classes and skills. It was designed by series creator Koichi Ishii, directed by veteran Square designer Hiromichi Tanaka, and produced by Tetsuhisa Tsuruzono, with artwork by Nobuteru Yūki. The game was published in Japan, and an unofficial English fan translation appeared in 1999. It was first officially released in English in a 2017 port for the Nintendo Switch. Trials of Mana received considerable acclaim from reviewers for its graphics and gameplay, but some found the characters and plotlines clichéd. A remake of the game has been announced for worldwide release for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 in early 2020. (Full article...)

PresN, and anyone else interested: thoughts and edits (up to 1025 characters total) are welcome. There's no rush; this hasn't been scheduled at TFA yet. This batch finishes up blurbs for FACs promoted in 2016. Btw, I don't think I've ever put "has been announced" in a video game blurb before ... it's mainly there so we won't forget to update the blurb when and if the remake is released. - Dank (push to talk) 18:42, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the edit ... 1039 characters ... something had to go, so I axed "and music by Hiroki Kikuta". - Dank (push to talk) 04:00, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the assists @Dank:, but we might want to axe something else, since our free use image for the article is of the game composer. :) Judgesurreal777 (talk) 14:47, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
